Fatal
Vows

| About
Fatal Vows: |
|
..... In October 2007, twenty-three-year-old
Stacy Peterson vanished from the Chicago suburb
of Bolingbrook, leaving behind her husband and children.
Retired Police Sergeant Drew Peterson, thirty years
Stacy's senior, steadfastly asserted his innocence
and maintained that his wife had simply fled their
tumultuous marriage and run off with another man.
Drawing upon exclusive interviews with Stacy's friends
and family and even Drew himself, Chicago-area reporter
Joseph Hosey presents the most researched account
of the Stacy Peterson case yet. Still, as the charges
against Drew Peterson mount, one haunting question
remains: Where on earth is Stacy?.....

(October 2008) - I may have not have acted
like many Americans during the Drew/Stacy Peterson
case, I wasn't glued to my television and flipping
through news channels to find out the latest details
on this poor woman's disappearance. I'll admit that.
I was familiar with how the case went and when I
came across this book, I was hesitant to read it.
Since we all know right now that Stacey Peterson
is still missing, I knew how this book was going
to end. I was afraid it would be too depressing
and too haunting to read.
In actuality, I finished this book, Fatal Vows,
very quickly. Each chapter ends with a little cliffhanger
that leaves you asking your own questions. The reader
becomes their own investigator and detective on
the Peterson case. This book definitely did not
make me a fan of Drew Peterson, that's for sure.
I think the author was fair enough to report both
sides of the story and interviewed many people surrounding
the case. He was very detailed and really got into
the nitty-gritty of the missing persons case. Although
the book is based on a tragic event, it was a very
interesting read. I found myself less cautious to
read it and more entralled with each chapter. If
you're a fan of crime novels or want to get more
familiar with this case, definitely give it a read.
