The
fight against cancer will unite more than 60 celebrities
on the Stand Up to Cancer fund-raiser, a star-studded
TV special airing Sept. 5 at 8 p.m. simultaneously on
CBS, ABC and NBC. The live fund- and awareness-raising
television special will include participants like Salma
Hayek, Scarlett Johansson, Lance Armstrong, America
Ferrera, Meryl Streep, Charlize Theron and Forest Whitaker.
This event's goal is to encourage scientists to work
together to improve cancer care!
"There
will be laughter. There will be tears. And you'll learn
something about how we can turn the outcome of this
disease if we just set our minds to it. People can call
in and talk to their favorite celebrity," Ziskin
said, if callers buzz in to make a donation.
