► Atco Records, an imprint of Rhino Entertainment, announces the May 13 release of Just Me, the first new studio album from R&B legend Keith Sweat since his 2002 Rebirth set. The original "new jack" hitmaker, who celebrated 20 years as a chart artist at the end of 2007, produced and cowrote most of the material on his latest project which features guest artists Keyshia Cole, and Athena Cage (Keith's duet partner on the million-selling 1996 hit "Nobody").

► Universal Republic Records' signature rock band 10 Years have just unveiled the world premiere of their new video, "Beautiful," from their soon-to-be released album, Division, (due in-stores May 13) on the Universal Republic music site, UniversalRepublic.com, on Monday April 21 at 4pm EST/1pm PST.

The clip, directed by Paul Boyd (The Cult, Blind Melon), revels in its satirical look at the co-dependent atmosphere spawned by the Lindsay-to-Britney-to-Paris media-merry-go-round that has swept up the paparazzi and American tabloid culture. The female lead in the new clip is none other than Rebecca Ginos, significant other of Maroon 5 lead vocalist Adam Levine.

► On May 13th, Fantasy Records will release Hymn For My Soul, the newest album from legendary singer Joe Cocker. The album unites Cocker, possessor of one of the world's most instantly recognisable and iconic voices (Lennon & McCartney's With A Little Help From My Friends, anyone?), with Ethan Johns, who has proved both his worth and his Midas touch via albums he's produced for, among others, Rufus Wainwright, Emmylou Harris, Ryan Adams, Razorlight, Kings of Leon, and Ray LaMontagne. The union has resulted in one of the most accomplished pieces of work in the Sheffield-born singer's long and illustrious career, and one played by arguably the most stellar band to be assembled in a recording studio anywhere in the world in recent times.

► Alternative rock mainstays Local H return with their seventh album on May 13, titled 12 Angry Months. The band's debut on Shout! Factory, 12 Angry Months is Local H's first new studio album since 2004's Whatever Happened To P.J. Soles?

► Eagle Rock Entertainment, through its wholly-owned Eagle Vision subsidiary, will combine two of its most popular previously-released Marvin Gaye DVD titles in one blockbuster package on May 13 when the double-disc What's Going On + Greatest Hits Live hits stores in a special Collector's Edition [pre-book date April 23, retail list price $19.98].

Marvin Gaye (1939-1984) is one of the most enigmatic, talented and musically enduring of all the soul stars. His career spanned doo-wop, gospel, rhythm'n'blues and sophisticated pop balladry. His appeal crossed all known cultural boundaries. His two-year refusal to take the stage after the death of his duet partner, Tammi Terrell, from a brain tumor in 1970…the battles he fought with Motown to get What's Going On released…bankruptcy…drug addiction…marital woes…expatriotism…and his shocking death at the hand of his own father makes his legend one of the more troubling yet fascinating stories in music history.

► After a five-year hiatus and a successful run with Army of Anyone, Richard Patrick has reclaimed his legacy with Filter for Anthem's for the Damned due out May 13 on Pulse Recordings. Produced by Josh Abraham (Slayer, 30 Seconds to Mars, Velvet Revolver, Staind, Courtney Love), Patrick calls Anthems for the Damned his "howl in the night," a harsh indictment of civilization that doesn't exclude himself from its vision of a world falling apart.

The album's first single "Soldiers of Misfortune" will be available digitally on April 15 and is quickly climbing up the radio charts as the #1 Most Added track at Active Rock & Alternative radio in its first week. Most recently, former Filter bassist--now Army Sergeant--Frank Cavanagh traveled to Kuwait to join his former band on Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot" for the Operation MySpace concert. Cavanagh--who is due to begin his tour of duty later this month--was authorized by the U.S. Army to join the band so that he could be a part of this memorable performance.

SafetySuit, a band out of Tulsa, comes out with their debut full length album, Life Left to Go. When asked what makes a good song, singer/guitarist Doug Brown replies with a simple answer, "quintessential good melody and good lyrics." This recipe clearly works for Safetysuit whose songs capture the grandeur and depth of U2, with an imaginative pop sensibility at its core and a dizzying wall of guitars as its backdrop. The band has just unveiled another song of their upcomig album, on their MySpace page! Head over to check out "Something I Said"!

Frank Sinatra: Nothing but the Best- As one of the 20th century's most iconic entertainers, Francis Albert Sinatra made an indelible mark on the world. In the 10 years since his passing, Sinatra's legacy not only endures but also continues to grow in stature.

The Submarines - Honeysuckle Weeks marks the first time that The Submarines John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard - collaborated as a duo from start to finish (Declare A New State! was written separately during a breakup and recorded upon their reunion.) The new album, which was recorded in the band's East LA garage-turned-home-studio, draws together themes from their immediate surroundings and experience: the garden outside their home studio, and the push and pull of life and love inside.

►  Musician/songwriter/rapper Emmanuel Jal has one of the most extraordinary life-stories you'll ever hear, and has incorporated his experiences onto "Warchild," his brand new album due out May 13, 2008 (Sonic360/Fontana/Universal). "Warchild," recorded in London between 2006 and 2007, was mixed and additionally produced by Grammy winner Neal Pogue (Outkast, Talib Kweli, Stevie Wonder, TLC), and produced by UK-based writer/producer Roachie who co-wrote most of the 13 songs with Jal.

In addition, a full-length documentary on Jal's life, entitled "War Child," will have its world premiere on February 10 at the Berlin Film Festival, and his autobiography will be published by St. Martin's Press late this year. (More...)

Mike Zito - With all the pieces in place, the time is right for Mike Zito to break through as a major voice on the contemporary music scene. His debut release on Eclecto Groove, "Today", is currently being readied for release. Produced by the 'dream team' of David Z (Prince, Big Head Todd, Etta James), Tony Braunagel (Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Burden), and Randy Chortkoff, "Today" showcases Zito's music in a distinctly contemporary setting, without any gimmicks or artifice. The producers perfectly captured the earthy essence and intimacy of Zito's voice, and the driving intensity of his music, creating a recording that sounds simultaneously comfortable and familiar, and brand new and original.

►  Danielia Cotton's new album 'Rare Child' is filled with melodies that aim to lift the spirits, reflecting Daniela's upbringing in a house where gospel music was a constant presence. ► On Verve - Remixed 4, music’s most respected and emulated Remix series once again breaks new ground. More soulful in both repertoire and musical direction, the new album enlists a cutting-edge arsenal of production contributors to re-imagine a luminous array of R&B, soul, latin and jazz standards and rare gems.

► They’re called One Flew South, but Royal Reed, Chris Roberts and Eddie Bush, whose debut album is appropriately titled Last of the Good Guys, actually had to fly north to launch their career. A Decca Records conference room, three voices and 20 minutes were all that was required to land the group a recording deal. Now, nearly eight months later the vocal group, who worked with some of music’s most prominent songwriters including Marcus Hummon and J.D. Souther, is ready to release their debut album May 27th.

► Recording artist Usher sets to release his eagerly awaited album "Here I Stand" on May 27th. Originally scheduled for a June release the highly anticipated album has been pushed up in order to satiate increasing global demand from all of his fans.

► Universal Republic rock icons 3 Doors Down are putting up massive radio numbers with their first single, "Its Not My Time," from their soon-to-be released self-titled album, due in-stores on May 27. Their much anticipated fourth studio album has spawned rock's biggest radio hit of the year so far, with the debut single becoming the fastest moving song at Active Rock radio in the past five years. The #1 most added song at Alternative radio the past 3 weeks in a row, "It's Not My Time" was also the biggest Gainer at the coveted rock radio format, leaping from #20 to #16 as it closes in on the prestigious 50,000 mark in digital sales in less than a month of release.

"The early radio success of "It's Not My Time" is an incredible indication of more great things to come from this band and this album," stated Monte Lipman, President & CEO of Universal Republic Records. "3 Doors Down have become a signature presence in rock through hard work and passionate songwriting that speaks directly to their audience. They have delivered a career-defining album that we cannot wait to get into the hands of fans."
