Heavy Mojo is a six-piece genre-bending hip hop and rock outfit from Atlanta, Georgia. Their upcoming LP release, Blow Out The Sound, produced by Billy Hume is set to be released in late 2008, but you can grab their Choice Cuts EP now.

► Check out The Airborne Toxic Event. The band was recently named Spin's band of the day, and their song Gasoline was featured in the promos for the Olympics.

Laze and Royal have been on a pomo grind trying to spread the word of their single "Like A Pistol" which already starting to blow up online.

► As singer-songwriter Tony Lucca prepares to release his independent album 'Come Around Again' next month, he's caught the eye (and ears) of famous fans. Sara Bareilles, known for the hit "Love Song", confessed to CosmoGirl magazine that she was obsessed with the Mickey Mouse Club and Lucca, one of the show's popular cast members. "I wrote letters to Tony Lucca--I would have given my right arm for a letter back," Bareilles tells the magazine in the September 2008 issue. MMC has been off the air for more than a decade, but like any fan, she clearly remembers -and still proclaims -that teenage celebrity crush.

► Nate Ruess, Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dost are proud to announce a new band called Fun. The former The Format, Anathallo and Steel Trap band member have just released their first single, and are going on tour with Jack's Mannequin in November.

► Check out Charles Hamilton. He's been taken under the wing of Green Lantern and has released a mixtape called Outside Looking. The critically acclaimed hip-hop new-comer is already slated for an album release.

► LOUD.com, a top-rated growing online resource for aspiring recording artists and producers, has successfully launched its second $100,000 Online Rap Battle and Producer Challenge.

The Pussycat Dolls TV Episode 5 is now live. The Pussycat Dolls are currently promoting their new single "When I Grow Up" which is featured on their upcoming album Doll Domination due in stores this fall.

► Chart-topping artist Sergio Mendes will be performing a song from his new album Encanto live on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

► Created by the Gorillaz team of Albarn and Hewlett, Monkey: Journey to the West is an opera performed by an assortment of European and Chinese musicians and singers and was produced by Albarn. The opera premieres at the London Royal Opera on July 23rd. The album will be released this fall.

► Singer-songwriter Brendan James released his album The Day is Brave on June 3. He is reminiscent of James Taylor and Damien Rice. One of the songs on his CD is "Green," about a former girlfriend he met while working at Urban Outfitters.

Tokio Hotel has just premiered the video for the band's powerful rock ballad "Monsoon," off Scream, the group's U.S. debut album.

► In keeping with their decision not to make conventional promotional music videos for any of the tracks on In Rainbows, Radiohead used absolutely no cameras in the making of its new "House Of Cards" clip, which is being powered by Google.

Anberlin has unveiledl "Disappear", a new track off the band's forthcoming album, New Surrender, on its newly revamped Myspace page. Also, the band is selling USB wristbands available exclusively at Warped Tour, which will allow fans to pre-order their Universal Republic debut. The $15.00 wristband includes 4 exclusive tracks, remixes and alternate versions of material from both old & new albums. Anberlin will also send out surprise content to fans who buy the wristband via email once they register online after purchase. The wristband will also contain a link in which the purchaser can redeem a unique pin number that will enable fans to enter their email address and receive a full album download of New Surrender on street date (September 30th).


► Platinum selling artist Patty Smyth and Scandal have reunited on tour and have announced that they plan to record a new album. The band gained notoriety for The Warrior and Goodbye to You.

Zerobridge released their "Havre de Grace" EP on iTunes late last year and are following up their first single with a soaring second track called "Late Bloomer". The band has also announced that they will release a new single every month for the remainder of 2008.

► The new incarnation of Menudo have officially arrived with their debut music video for "Lost," the first single off their forthcoming album due out on September 9th. Carlos, Chris, Emmanuel, José and Monti run wild in style through an action packed hostage rescue mission in Los Angeles. Trapt's new video for "Who's Going Home With You Tonight" was directed by Paul Brown (Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson) and features Chris Taylor Brown exposing his cheating girlfriend with three different men. It's a raw and unique male perspective on romance, relationships, and the nuances in between, keeping Trapt's rock edge while displaying their songwriting abilities. As an exciting twist, three "video trailers" have been produced by Paul Brown to give a backstory to the actual music video, creating a viral sensation over the internet. ► Alaska band Portugal. The Man is geared up for the late summer/early fall release of their third full length album Censored Colors.

Rossi decided to take his experiences from the show and pursue his own project and creative path… Stars Down is just that. ► Texas hard rock band Drowning Pool is extending its summer Know Your Enemy tour. Their song 'Full Circle' has now scanned over 75,000 units and they currently have over 221,000 fans on MySpace and and have averaged over 3,000 spins per day. Their single "Enemy" was recently featured on ESPN's Sports Center.

► Composer and philanthropist Peter Buffett and international star Akon announced today the beginning of their musical collaboration and the launch of a new social action and resource website, IsThereSomethingICanDo.com.
