► Stepping from the sandy beaches of their native Sydney, Australia onto the hard but promising streets of New York City - under the very watchful eye of MTV - Universal Motown folk-rockers TAMARAMA are making a major multi-media entry into American consciousness as one of early 2009's unmistakable breakout discoveries.

The release of the first TAMARAMA EP, WONDERLAND CITY, comes as the duo (Jay Lyon, Nicolas "Pottsy" Potts) play prominent recurring roles as themselves in the new MTV series THE CITY. Jay is in particular focus as the new love interest of series co-star Whitney Port, but the band itself will be integrated into the plot arcs of the show, as will its music and live performances. Already, print and broadcast media have responded to the juicy celebrity aura of the new series and its cast members: three episodes in, the show's website has drawn an instant seven-figure hit total. Visit the group MySpace Page and check out Tamarama performing "Everything To Me" live!

► Multi-platinum rock band 311 have been hard at work in their own North Hollywood studio, The Hive, with legendary producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith) putting the final touches on their ninth studio album. The highly anticipated record, Uplifter, is set for release via Volcano/Jive Records in late spring.

This is the band's first album in over three years - and their first with producer Bob Rock. 311 will hit the road in support of Uplifter with Spring & Summer tours across the US. 311's Spring Tour will begin April 15 and 311's Summer Unity Tour will follow in June. For more information and up to the minute tour information visit 311's MySpace Page !

Rise Against has recently released a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the video for their hit single, "Audience of One." "Worship Music" is set for a June release on Megaforce Records. The album marks the studio debut of new singer Dan Nelson who joins long-time members Scott Ian (rhythm guitar), Frank Bello (bass), Charlie Benante (drums), and Rob Caggiano (lead guitar). According to early reports, "Worship Music" is Anthrax's heaviest album to date. Read More Here....

Artist Spotlight: Check out Janus , a new and emerging hard rock/metal band from Chicago. Their debut album 'Red Right Return" was release in November and their sound is comparable to that of Deftones and 30 Seconds to Mars. The album has a range of dynamics and instruments not often used in the metal genre to produce a sound of melodic, ethereal backdrops grounded in aggressive and heavy rhythms.

Artist Spotlight: Get to know Justin Stein ! After years of experience singing and acting on various stages from Chicago to New York, this multi-talented 18- year-old is giving his all to make it happen. Deferring his fall 2008 admittance to NYU, Justin recently completed traveling around the country as the official opening act for Corbin Bleu's 2008 summer tour. This fall 2008, Justin also had the pleasure of opening for Jesse McCartney, Jordin Sparks, and Raven-Symone.
