Outer Space Astronauts
Syfy continues to expand its horizons with the premiere of new irreverent half-hour comedy series, Outer Space Astronauts.

Series creator and executive producer, Russell Barrett took a complete do-it-yourself / hands-on approach to the creation of the show by developing, executing and editing the series right in his very home. He also enlisted childhood and hometown friends as series stars including, Adam Clinton (Commander Dick Amos), Stephanie Clinton (Lieutenant Sunny Hunkle), Jay Wendorff (voice of Kyle 14) and Dana Kirk (Operations Officer Donna Kennedy).

"Syfy fans have never seen animation quite like this before! The graphics may be basic and simple, but combining them with live-action elements has never been done in a series before. To say that it was a grassroots endeavor is an understatement. Russell literally produced this in his basement for more than a year, and that allowed him to create a unique series with a sharp, sly sense of humor." said Mark Stern, EVP Original Content Syfy & Co-Head Universal Cable Productions.

Outer Space Astronauts is a futuristic comedy series about eight vaguely courageous, highly distractable military personnel who journey to the far reaches of the galaxy, seeking knowledge, adventure and whatever else they can come up with. On board the O.S.S. Oklahoma, this legion of misfits are led by a lackluster captain who would rather be planning the next "margarita Monday" than leading a mission against evil, much to exasperation of his by-the-book second-in-command. Regardless of being a comedy of errors, this team will surprise even themselves as they navigate their way around the solar system.

"Russell Barrett is a very dry, very funny guy who created his own part animated, part live-action space ship world in a series of episodes using his own style and vision of animation," said David O. Russell, Executive Producer. "What more needs to be said about outer space astronauts who are in outer space working as astronauts, in outer space?"

Meet the series characters:

► Captain Bruce Ripley (Russell Barrett) is the worst captain in the fleet with the best reputation. He’s uninterested, bored and sloppy, yet manages to always get the job done.
► Commander Dick Amos (Adam Clinton) should be the leader of the ship since he holds the most credentials than anyone, but even with his top performance record, Dick is always stuck behind the eight ball.
► Lieutenant Sunny Hunkle (Stephanie Clinton) With a name that equally matches her 'sunny' disposition, the sweetest girl in the galaxy gets along with everyone. She doesn’t mind that her 'secret relationship' with Dick should remain a secret, she's cool, calm and easy going.
► Intern Jimmy Peck (Peter Burns) has been Captain Ripley's right-hand man since their college days. A bit simple-minded, or just eternally naïve, Jimmy has a way of coming through just when you thought he was completely useless.
► Pilot Johnny Boothe (Benjamin Nurick) shouldn't be flying or driving anything as he holds the most citations for reckless piloting out of anyone (a record he states proudly!). Boothe's disregard for safety and his addiction to speed however has saved many a day on board the O.S.S. Oklahoma.
► Kyle 14 (voice: Jay Wendorff) is one of the first artificial humans to be given a post on an OSA ship. He’s the most state-of-the-art android in existence and "waaaay better than the Kyle 13 model."
► Chief Weapons Officer Andy Matheson (Laura Valdivia) has saved the life of every crewman on the ship more times than they can count. His enormous stature and history of big time whuppin’ sometimes intimidates his fellow crewman except for Brimley.
► Weapons Officer Chad Brimley (Tony Bravo) likes to find other's weak spots and poke at it with a stick. He has excellent skills, and is highly intelligent in weapons development and ammunition science, but his motivation for work isn't always top notch.
► Operations Officer Donna Kennedy (Dana Kirk) and technology don't mix. She tries in vain to hide her 'fear of all things that plug in and beep' from the crew, but on a ship which functions solely from the latest technology, her technophobia gets the best of her.
► Chief Mechanic Pinto (Steve Millunzi) is a human monkey wrench. If something is broken, Pinto can fix it - which is great, because things tend to break quite frequently!
► Ka'ak (Jacey Margolis) is from another planet and skilled in all areas of space travel. Despite her super-model looks, her mangled use of English is a good tip-off to her alien roots; not to mention her blood-red skin!

Alice
This modern day spin on the classic stories by Lewis Carroll stars Academy Award winner Kathy Bates (Misery) as the Queen of Hearts and Caterina Scorsone (Crash television series) is Alice.

Rounding out the stellar cast are Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show) as Dodo, Colm Meaney (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) as the King of Hearts, Philip Winchester (Crusoe) as Jack of Hearts, Matt Frewer (Watchmen) as the White Knight, Andrew Lee Potts (Primeval) as Hatter, Alessandro Juliani (Battlestar Galactica) as 9 of Clubs, Timothy Webber (Taken) as Carpenter, Alex Diakun (Sanctuary) as Ratcatcher, Zak Santiago (Kingdom Hospital) as 10 of Clubs, and Eugene Lipinski (Animorphs) as Doctors Dee and Dum.

For this re-imagined adaptation, writer/director Nick Willing mines the bizarre ingenuity and twisted logic of Carroll's work to create a daringly different, boldly colorful and delightfully skewed dreamscape of his own. Willing also directed the record-breaking, Emmy-winning miniseries Tin Man for Syfy in 2007. Serving as Executive Producers for this ambitious new event are Matthew O'Connor and Lisa Richardson from Reunion Pictures, Jamie Brown from Studio Eight and RHI Entertainment's Robert Halmi, Sr. and Robert Halmi, Jr.

"We are thrilled that this exciting project has attracted a stellar cast that will further elevate this production to one of the year's most anticipated television events," said Mr. Halmi, Sr. "This continues to build on our very successful partnership with Syfy."

"An incredible creative team has been assembled to re-interpret this familiar tale in an imaginative and innovative way," said Mark Stern, EVP of Original Programming for Syfy. "This exciting new vision is one of the reasons we've been able to attract such high-level talent."

Based off of Lewis Carroll books Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass writer/director Nick Willing has created the modern-day story of Alice Hamilton, a fiercely independent twenty-something who suddenly finds herself on the other side of a looking glass. She is a stranger in an outlandish city of twisted towers and casinos built out of playing cards, all under the rule of a deliciously devilish Queen who's not very happy about Alice's arrival.

Sanctuary
Through the use of never-before-seen technology Sanctuary blazes a trail across the TV landscape. Starring Amanda Tapping, best known to fans as the brilliant Col. Samantha Carter on Stargate SG-1, Sanctuary is the first series to shoot purely on green screen, using virtual sets and extraordinary visual effects.

Sanctuary follows the adventures of the beautiful, enigmatic and always surprising Dr. Helen Magnus (Tapping), a highly inteligent scientist who holds the secrets of a clandestine population - a group of strange and sometimes terrifying creatures that hide among humans.

Along with her new forensic psychiatrist Dr. Will Zimmerman (Robin Dunne), her quirky tech wiz Henry (Ryan Robbins) and her fearless daughter Ashley (Emilie Ullerup), Magnus seeks to protect this threatened phenomena as well as discover the mysteries behind their existence. The series also stars Christopher Heyerdahl as the sinister John Druitt.

Ghost Hunters
This one-hour weekly reality show from the creator/executive producer of American Chopper follows a group of real-life paranormal researchers as they investigate hauntings throughout the country.

Contact between our existence and the one that awaits us is no more far-fetched to some than wireless phones would have seemed to the ancients.

Enter Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, plumbers by trade who head up The Atlantic Paranormal Society. TAPS is a group of fairly ordinary people - office managers, factory workers, teachers and even psychic-hotline gurus - moonlighting to understand seemingly unexplainable disturbances.

Tom Thayer and Craig Piligian of Pilgrim Films (American Chopper) are the executive producers.

Do you know of a paranormal presence? Yes, the spooky sounds and weird clamminess in the air might be duct echoes or backflow in your pipes - and if so, TAPS is qualified to tell you that, too! So, request an investigation at the TAPS site.

The only thing you stand to lose is a noisy house, and maybe a discontented forbearer.

Destination Truth
Led by intrepid world-adventurer Josh Gates, each episode of Destination Truth takes viewers on a trek across the globe as Josh investigates stories of the unexplained. Accompanied by his small crew, Josh dives into the local cultures and searches for clues to the existence of strange creatures and paranormal phenomena.

In the current season, Josh will travel to some of the most extreme locations on Earth, including the isolated Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan and the heart of the world's worst nuclear accident at Chernobyl. Viewers will also ride along on unprecedented investigations, including the world's first overnight exploration of King Tut's cursed tomb and pitch-black dives in ancient Caribbean caves.

Stargate Universe
Stargate Universe follows a band of soldiers, scientists and civilians, who must fend for themselves as they are forced through a Stargate after their hidden base comes under attack. The desperate survivors emerge aboard an ancient ship, which is locked on an unknown course and unable to return to Earth. Faced with meeting the most basic needs of food, water and air, the group must unlock the secrets of the ship’s Stargate to survive. The danger, adventure and hope they find on board the Destiny will reveal the heroes and villains among them.

The series stars Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty), Lou Diamond Phillips (Che, La Bamba), Ming-Na (ER, Vanished), Alaina Huffman, Louis Ferreira, David Blue, Jamil Walker Smith and Brian J. Smith with special guest stars, Grammy? nominated recording artist, Janelle Monáe, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Gary Jones and Carlo Rota.

Edgier and younger in tone, Stargate Universe will take the franchise in a dynamic new direction, appealing to longtime Stargate fans and first-time viewers alike. The two-part premiere is being directed by Andy Mikita (Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1) and lensed by Rohn Schmidt (The Shield, The Mist). Robert Cooper and Brad Wright, of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, serve as executive producers and writers on the new series. Stargate Universe is distributed by MGM Worldwide Television Distribution.

Scare Tactics
The new season of this terrifying and funny hidden camera show is hosted by actor and comedian Tracy Morgan (30 Rock and Saturday Night Live).

Unsuspecting victims are set up by friends and loved ones and placed into elaborately staged scary situations involving movie-style special effects and makeup. The horror hoaxes are skillfully designed to tap into the wildest fears of the prank's prey.

Viewers laugh out loud to the hilarious reactions of the show's "stars" as they are caught off guard and on camera.

Star Trek: The Next Generation
It's less than a generation after the adventures of volatile Captain James T. Kirk aboard the original starship U.S.S. Enterprise, and a new crew aboard a new Enterprise is streaking between the stars.

Like the previous series, tension and battle are matched with wry humor and empathy. And always there's the spirit of gamboling adventure.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard commands the Enterprise-D, and in many ways, the differences between their predecessors stand in for how humanity has evolved as a space-based species.

Picard is logical with bouts of emotion compared to Kirk, who was almost the opposite. The Enterprise-D is streamlined and inviting (How many noted how the first STNG bridge looked like the front desk of a mid-price chain hotel.) while the original model was angular and utilitarian.

Picard's crew includes an android (through which we examined our own nature), a Klingon (who showed us our confident pacifism). There's a hot-headed officer who seems to walk around with his phaser perpetually on stun - in case of enemy attack or the arrival of a comely alien.

An empath is on hand to unveil the emotions and motives of those who would hide. And a blind man sees it all.

Together, they are envoys, cops, soldiers, explorers and, occasionally tourists... out there, as Kirk once said

Moonlight
Mick St. John is a charming private investigator from Los Angeles with a dark secret. Sixty years ago on the night of his wedding, his bride, the seductive Coraline, bit him, turning him into a vampire who will be eternally locked in the immortal world.

Forever 30 years of age, Mick is as handsome and charismatic as the day he was "turned," and he rejects others of his kind who view humans as nothing more than a source of nourishment. With only a handful of like-minded confidantes for company, including the wealthy and mischievous Josef Kostan, Mick fills his infinite days protecting the living.

In a random twist of fate, Beth Turner, a mortal Mick saved when she was a little girl, grew up to be a beautiful and ambitious Internet Investigative Reporter who he's falling helplessly in love with. And although Mick feels a distinctive bond with Beth, he knows he can't pursue his feelings without exposing the part of him that would make him a monster in her eyes.

In Moonlight we see Mick as a character who lives between two realities - an avenger dedicated to protecting humanity from the undead, and a immortal man falling dangerously in love.

Moonlight discovers the mysteries and pleasures that a valuable life has to offer.
