Paranormal
State
A&E
continues to chronicle the case files of the Paranormal Research
Society (PRS), a renowned group that began with Penn State University
College Students in the new season of the dramatic real-life
series "Paranormal State." Ryan Buell, the director/founder
of PRS, and his team of investigators delve into other worlds
to solve a their most severe client cases. The team uses a cache
of resources including Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) recordings,
client interviews, video documentation, cutting-edge technologies,
old-fashioned research and the help from outside experts such
as renowned psychics and demonologists.
Intervention
Watch
people confront their darkest demons and seek a route to redemption
in this powerful and gripping television series. The Intervention
Television series profiles people whose dependence on drugs
and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to
a point of personal crisis and caused them to loose their friends
and loved ones. Each Intervention episode ends with a surprise
intervention that is staged by the family and friends of the
alcohol or drug addict, and which is conducted by one of three
Intervention specialists: Jeff VanVonderen, Candy Finnigan and
Ken Seeley.
Intervention raises awareness about the alternatives and
treatment options available to those who suffer from an alcohol
or drug addiction, and gives hope to families who have nowhere
left to turn.
Hoarders
Each
60-minute episode of Hoarders takes a fascinating look inside
the lives of two different people whose inability to part with
their belongings is so out of control that it puts them on the
verge of a personal crisis. Some are facing eviction, the loss
of their children, jail time, or divorce, and all are desperately
in need of help. In a fly-on-the-wall style, the drama is captured
as experts work to put each on the road to recovery. But cleaning
is just the first step, like taking drugs away from an addict.
The healing won't be easy. For some, throwing away even the
tiniest thing -- a sponge, a button, an empty box -- is so painful
that they will not be able to get rid of it all, no matter the
consequences. For others, professional help and an organizer's
guidance give them the strength to recover. At the end of each
episode we'll find out who has been able to keep their hoarding
behavior at bay and who, despite help, is still lost inside
this painful disease.
