CMT's All Jacked Up
CMT's All Jacked Up brings viewers some of the most outlandish and extreme stunts, sports, events, people and inventions from across America. Veteran movie actor C. Thomas Howell hosts each half-hour episode whichl features a wide array of exciting and often eccentric subjects. From ostrich races and robotic dinosaurs to jet-powered outhouses, the series showcases all the unconventional fun and excitement that happens from coast-to-coast.

C. Thomas Howell started acting in the film industry at a young age and appeared in Steven Spielberg's "E.T.:The Extra-Terrestrial." He was later cast in Francis Ford Coppola's, "The Outsiders" and it was his gripping performance as the tough, yet vulnerable, Ponyboy Curtis that made him a household name virtually overnight. He has also had roles in "Red Dawn", "The Hitcher," "Side Out," "That Night" and award-winning independent film "The Glass Jar." Not only is Howell an acclaimed actor, he has also directed the films "The Big Fall," "Pure Danger," "The Land That Time Forgot," and directed and co-wrote "Hourglass." Most recently, Howell has appeared in the series’ "Southland" and "Criminal Minds."

Can You Duet

The weekly series searches for country music's best new duo. Each contestant will compete as part of a duo, and viewers will get to see the drama unfold both on and off stage. In addition to critiquing each performance and deciding who will advance to the next round, judges Naomi Judd, Big Kenny of the multi-platinum duo Big & Rich and Big Machine Records' President and CEO Scott Borchetta will serve as mentors to guide, groom and develop the duets along the way.

Only two out of he thousands of hopeful contry stars who auditioned will make the final cut to become country's next great duo on the second season of the CMT music competition series from American Idol producers FremantleMedia North America. After rigorous auditions, the pool of talent has been narrowed to the final ten duos that will perform weekly at the famed Nashville Wildhorse Saloon.

The Singing Bee
This game show tests contestants' knowledge of lyrics to well-known songs and eliminates those who fail to accurately sing the song lyrics correctly. Hosted by comedic actress Melissa Peterman ("Reba"), this new CMT version of The Singing Bee will blend a mix of 60 percent country music with 40 percent popular favorites from other genres and an original segment is being developed.
CMT Crossroads: Bryan Adams and Jason Aldean
Bryan Adams, global mega-platinum-selling singer-songwriter, takes the stage with platinum selling and chart topping country rocker, Jason Aldean for CMT Crossroads. The concert is tapped before an invitation only audience in Nashville.
Invitation Only
Invitation Only is different from typical concert specials because it features big country music stars performing before a small studio audience in Nashville. The stars also take the time to recieve questions from fans and give them very candid answers. This summer the show will feature Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley and Reba McEntire.
Music City Madness
CMT.com’s fourth annual Music City Madness returns with superstar Reba as the host on Tuesday, July 14. The online contest will once again search the nation for undiscovered singer/songwriters in a user-generated talent search. This online battle of the bands offers up-and-coming artists a chance to showcase their talent and let fans narrow the field. One lucky winner will take home the title and win a chance to audition for label execs at The Valory Music Co., as well as a trip to CMT in Nashville to record Studio 330 Sessions and a backstage experience with the ultimate country entertainer, Reba, at one of her concerts.

For complete rules and information on how to enter Music City Madness, visit madness.CMT.com.

As part of her involvement in this multi-platform promotion, Reba will serve as an online mentor and provide exclusive insight for the contestants via CMT.com video blogs that offer up tips from how to create a music video, to writing hit songs and building a music career. CMT has added stars Jack Ingram, Jewel, Justin Moore and Jimmy Wayne to support contestants throughout the competition.

CMT.com's Music City Madness will post the top 64 finalists to compete in a single-elimination, tournament-style contest that is voted online by the fans. Entrants can submit their original video performance July 14, 2009 through October 5, 2009. The 64 contenders will be revealed at CMT.com on October 20, 2009, where they will then compete over eight weeks. CMT.com visitors will narrow the field each week, and the grand prize winner will be announced in December.

The Valory Music Co. has signed on as the official record label this year, and Rhapsody has joined as a first time sponsor of the online contest. Last year, over 22 million votes were cast to name 33-year-old Atlanta resident Kurt Thomas the winner for his self-penned song, "Follow Your Lead." As part of his prize, Thomas recorded an episode of CMT.com’s performance series STUDIO 330 SESSIONS, joining a lineup that includes such artists as Kris Kristofferson, John Rich, Jason Aldean and Zac Brown Band among many others.

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

CMT has reached a multi-year licensing deal with Twentieth Television as the exclusive cable partner for the syndicated version of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, it was announced today by Mary Beth Cunin, senior vice president of programming strategy, CMT. The syndicated episodes of the series will debut weekdays in primetime beginning Monday, September 21 at 8 p.m. ET on CMT.

CMT will also collaborate with the program to produce themed episodes for the syndicated series, including a country music week.

"This 5th Grader deal is particularly significant for CMT, as we have the exclusive cable rights, and we'll be airing brand new episodes of the syndicated series," said Cunin. "We're thrilled to work with Mark Burnett & Twentieth to build another hit franchise for CMT."

From Mark Burnett Productions, Jeff Foxworthy hosts this new, fast-paced half-hour syndicated version of 5th Grader which will feature all the fun and challenges of the hit broadcast primetime version where adult’s knowledge of grade-school level questions is tested.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? originally aired on FOX and premiered on February 27, 2007. Comedian Jeff Foxworthy hosts this atypical game show that measures adults' lack of knowledge - as revealed by how much they've forgotten since grammar school. Grownups find themselves in a classroom setting, revisiting their youth, as they tackle subjects they were taught years ago ranging from art to geography and math to social studies. In Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, however, the players are not alone and there is a way for contestants to "cheat" in this classroom. The adults have the opportunity to get some help - in the form of elementary advice from real 5th graders who always seem to know more than the contestants.
