Review: "A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All!" (Warning: Spoilers Ahead)
by: Kristyn

Here is the way the story goes: Stephen Colbert finds himself stuck in his cabin in the woods on Christmas Eve, while trying to make it to New York to film his Christmas Special with Elvis Costello. There is a menacing bear outside that is preventing him from leaving, although he manages to receive quite a few guest visitors through-out the evening. Country music superstar Toby Keith makes an appearance to sing about a "war on Christmas", Willie Nelson causes Colbert to become so high that he hallucinates that Nelson is one of the Wise Men in the Nativity Scene, Jon Stewart drops in to teach him the joys of Hanukkah, John Legend performs a song about being in love with nutmeg, and Fiest appears as a "call-center angel" sent to grant Colbert his Christmas wishes.

If you think all of these appearances seem like a jumbled up mess then you are definitely on the right track. The only two guest performances that I thought were truly funny were Willie Nelson and John Legend, the rest just seemed to be overly cheesy. Honestly, with a personality like Stephen Colbert and his hit show "Colbert Nation", I would have expected this special to be a lot funnier that it actually was, I mean, I think I may have only laughed out loud a total of three times. The whole musical aspect got to be very tiring after awhile, and I would have preferred to see some more substance from the special. I am not sure if Colbert was going for a corny approach, but he definitely succeeded, the special has its laughable moments and perhaps Colbert was just taking some time to goof around with friends, at least that is how it appears.

DAVID ALAN GRIER'S "CHOCOLATE NEWS"

Completely Biased Comedy to Blow the Lid Off The Urban Experience In Modern America
David Alan Grier adds a new flavor to COMEDY CENTRAL with "Chocolate News," an outrageous, character-driven sketch magazine series debuting Wednesday, October 15 at 10:30 p.m. "In Living Color" alum and Tony® Award-nominee David Alan Grier is the creator, executive producer and host of "Chocolate News," a hilarious take on pop culture events that makes no apologies for its biased approach.

Phat Man - No Child Left Behind...

The Colbert Nation and Comedycentral.com are the true mavericks. Forget empty promises, these two forces working together have embraced change and delivered the new ColbertNation.com, the ultimate online destination and authority for "The Colbert Report" fans. The new site reinvents the way in which fans of "The Colbert Report" can learn about the show, watch videos and become Colbert Nation "heroes" by participating in the broader online community. The ColbertNation.com site features video clips from every episode dating back to 2005, the year that "The Colbert Report" launched, giving viewers a full screen video experience and a first-hand look back to the meteoric rise of the South Carolina Presidential candidate Stephen Colbert.

"I'm thrilled with our new Web site. I only wish John McCain knew how to get there," said Colbert.

GET READY FOR THE WILDEST AND WACKIEST TALENT SHOWCASE AROUND!

Premiere Episode Judges Include Brian Posehn, Steve Schirripa and Triumph The Insult Comic Dog Other Judges Featured This Season In "The Gong Show With Dave Attell" Include Adam Carolla, Kate Walsh, Andy Dick, Ron White, Dave Navarro, Greg Giraldo, Jim Norton And JB Smoove.
The 1970s classic "The Gong Show" is back and who better to host the return of the legendary talent showcase series than boundary-pushing comedy all-star Dave Attell? Viewers won't be able to contain their laughter (and their astonishment) when "The Gong Show with Dave Attell"

Hosted by Jon since 1999 (Craig Kilborn hosted 1996-1998), this satirical news program points out the hypocrisy in politics, religion, our leaders, celebrities and the news. The show offers "mock" interviews with real politcos and newsmakers , who often seem clueless that this is NOT an actual news program. For more information about whats to come on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart click here.

Live at Gotham
The walls of New York City's Gotham Comedy Club shake with laughter. Comedy Central's first original multi-platform series "Live at Gotham" is back for another laugh-out-loud season. Tune in and crack up as ventriloquist Jeff Dunham hosts the season three premiere of "Live At Gotham," featuring all-new exclusive comedic material. "Live At Gotham" was taped at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. This season's on-air debut includes eight one-hour episodes with each featuring six up-and-coming comedians and one all-star host. Leading up to the on-air premiere and throughout the new season, exclusive stand-up clips will be available on comedycentral.com as well as other digital platforms such as mobile VOD and iTunes podcast. Beginning the week of June 2, exclusive interviews with "Live At Gotham" hosts can be viewed here.

South Park
Created and written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, this cartoon is Comedy Central's first break out hit. It takes place in the fictional town of South Park, CO. The computer animation is based on the original construction paper design seen in the original pilot. South Park has been controversal in topics, in language and in theme.

Mind of Mencia
Carlos Mencia is the host and driving force of this show which has the benefit of being politically incorrect from several standpoints. As a (Hispanic) minority himself, he can mock other minorities with hard biting humor that just couldn't be delivered from other "mainstream" comedians. On this season of the show will turn the election, recession and other tough topics into humor for his series.

Kenny and Spenny
"Kenny vs. Spenny" is a reality/comedy series that pits childhood friends against each other in outrageous competitions. The winner achieves short-term glory and bragging rights, while the loser is forced to perform a humiliating stunt of the winner's choosing. Entertainment Weekly says that "Kenny vs. Spenny "...are quite possibly the end of civilization as we know it - but not lacking in laughs."

Lewis Black's Root of all Evil

Who better to serve as the ultimate decider on all things evil than Lewis Black? "Lewis Black's Root of All Evil" pits either two people such as Kim Jong Il and Tila Tequila or pop culture topics such as You Tube vs. Porn against each other in an open debate setting. A rotating group of comedians take the stage and argue who or what is most evil with Black making the final decision.

Reno 911

Spoofing Fox's COPS the show follows the fictional Reno Sheriff's Department, NOT affiliated with the real Reno Police Dept. The show is sketched out, but most of the dialogue is actually unscripted. Just like the real "COPS" they deal with family situations, racism, drunks, and general dysfunctionality. The show is returning in May with 8 new episodes for its 5th season. In the debut episode, the deputies reach out to Jackie, the pickle-throwing hooker, now facing a life-threatening disease. Future episodes feature the Reno cops training a squad of policemen from Baghdad, hiring a Hollywood acting coach to teach them how to go undercover and Lt. Wiegel's estranged father returning from prison and partying at strip clubs with her co-workers.

Reno 911 CAST
: Thomas Lennon as Lieutenant James "Jim" Ron Dangle, Robert Ben Garant as Deputy Travis Junior, Kerri Kenney-Silver as Deputy Trudy Wiegel, Wendi McLendon-Covey as Deputy Clementine "Clemmie" Johnson, Niecy Nash as Deputy Raineesha Williams Cedric Yarbrough as Deputy S. "Jonsey" Jones, Carlos Alazraqui as Deputy James Oswaldo Garcia and Mary Birdsong as Deputy Cherisha Kimball.

Sneak Peak Here!

Review By Erin:

I am a big Sarah Silverman fan, I think their is nothing more hilarious then her recent "I'm f****** Matt Damon" video. But I just didn't get the humor in the seof her Comedy Central hit The Sarah Silverman Program.

The first episode of the season was titled "High, I'm Sarah" and had a Plot line that would be boring to everyone stoned or not. The show follows Sarah as she gets high for the first time, and then leaves herself voicemails pleading her sober self to carry out her stoned-self ideas. Though I did get a chuckle out of a few parts, they were few and far between. I say do another video for FunnyorDie.com and call it a day!

GET READY FOR TRASH-TASTIC TELEVISION!
IT'S THE NETWORK TELEVISION PREMIERE OF
"TRAILER PARK BOYS: THE MOVIE"

In this feature film derived from the hit Canadian television series, the boys decide to top themselves by robbing an untraceable fortune... in loose change of course! While Bubbles tries to maintain his ever-expanding collection of cats, Julian attempts to train two dim-witted assistants for the big heist and Ricky struggles to come to terms with his girlfriend's new job at the gentleman's club, the trailer park boss schemes to rid the boys from their trailer park home in a deadly game of Sunnydale Chicken. The laughs will be rolling like tumbleweeds in the Network Television Premiere viewers won't want to miss!

Comedian Bill Burr takes the stage and tells it like it is in his all-new one-hour stand-up special. "Bill Burr: Why Do I Do This?"

From a stance of "uninformed" logic, Burr confronts racism and homophobia, relationships and over population with a simplistic honesty that is just as relatable as it is hilarious. Burr makes his case against "How to Catch a Predator" as bad PR for white people, shares his views against population control for animals and explains how the Government has used the fast food industry to cover up conspiracies. This is one hour of comedy that is not to be missed.

Carlos Mencia 'Performance Enhanced' Live Stand-Up DVD Review:

Carlos Mencia Live Stand-Up DVD: Very entertaining! Get ready to laugh at Carlos Mencia's latest stand-up DVD. This guy has tons of energy on stage and covers tons of topics in his performance. He's honest and raw. Despite some crazy language, he tackles the topics that many comedians are too scared to discuss with an audience. He covers rap, race, politics and more! Check out the DVD, it's really worth it if you are a comedy fan!

Chappelle's Show DVD Reviews:

The Best of Chappelle's Show Uncensored DVD and Chappelle's Show: The Lost Episodes Uncensored DVD: Two DVD's from Comedy Central that will have you laughing from beginning to end are from none other than Dave Chappelle. If you are as bummed as we were about the show coming to a halt after a few seasons, you can grab one of these newly released DVD's and relive all the hilarious skits over again! Our favorites are the characters of "Tyrone Biggums", "Lil' John" and "Prince"! You can't forget the skits, "The Mad Real World" and "Charlie Murphy: True Hollywood Stories," either! Dave Chappelle's episodes were watch over again and can keep you entertained for hours!

The Roast of Flavor Flav and Roast of Denis Leary DVD Reviews:The Roast of Flavor Flav and Roast of Denis Leary DVD Reviews: "FLAVA- FLAV!" Each of these DVD's are hilarious but beware, the jokes can get pretty downright mean and dirty. You should prepare yourself ahead of time for the language and sexual innuendo jokes that celebrities throw at the guest of honor. Personally, I liked The Roast of Flava Flav a bit better than Denis Leary. The jokes that came from the stars like Jimmy Kimmel, Snoop Dogg and Ice-T were much more entertaining. Both DVD's are worth watching but don't say we didn't warn you, they can get pretty rough! It's just great to see a bunch of celebs and entertainers getting together, making fun of eachother and having a good sense of humor about it!
