Fly
Girls
The
CW Network’s new reality docu-series, Fly Girls takes a 360-degree
look at the lives of the charismatic jet-setting flight attendants
on America's hippest new airline: Virgin America. The series
will debut midseason on The CW.
"This show is about real, down-to-earth young women
who happen to have landed in an exceptionally glamorous, high-flying
career filled with exotic locations and handsome strangers,"
said Kristen Vadas, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming,
The CW. "We're thrilled to be working with Virgin America
for this unique peek into a whirlwind lifestyle that shows
how tough it is to be grounded when you work 35,000 feet in
the air."
The show will have eight half-hour episodes where five beautiful
Virgin America flight attendants jet from one glamorous location
to the next, including Las Vegas, South Beach and New York
City, where they pursue good times, great parties, adventure
and love. From their shared home-base "crash pad"
in Los Angeles, California, the young women will deal with
work lives that include split-second decision-making, demanding
and sometimes interesting passengers, long hours in the air
and layovers in neat locales. Their personal lives are filled
with romance, family, friendships and more than a few roommate
conflicts.
"Since Virgin America launched, we've reinvented the
experience of flying with beautifully designed mood-lit cabins,
concierge-like service and a hip, sophisticated vibe that
today's travelers are looking for," said Porter Gale,
Vice President of Marketing at Virgin America. "We're
thrilled to work with The CW to show how our in-flight teammates
are re-writing the script and bringing the style and fun back
to flying."
"Fly Girls" is from Collins Avenue Productions,
with executive producers Jeff Collins ("Bridezilla 3,
4 & 5," "The Exterminators") and Colin
Nash ("The Hills," "The City") and co-executive
producers Larry Bond and Porter Gale.
Supernatural
The
thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester Brothers
continues with the fifth season of "Supernatural."
Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen
Ackles) lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural
force twenty three years ago. Subsequently, their father John
(Jeffrey Dean Morgan, "Grey's Anatomy") raised them
to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that
lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America...and
he taught them how to defeat it.
Sam and Dean spent their lives on the road, cruising America's
highways in their 1967 Chevy Impala, battling supernatural
threats and looking for the demon that killed their mother.
Along side their father, they closed in on that demon. A bloody
battle ensued, and the demon killed John before escaping.
Grieving the death of their father, the brothers' mission
to kill the demon - and every other evil creature along the
way - continued. Meanwhile, they began to learn troubling
details about Sam. They discovered that the demon they were
hunting had a special plan for Sam: to free hundreds of demons
from hell, creating an unstoppable demonic army, and to make
Sam the leader of that army. Horrified by its plan, the Winchester
brothers fought the demon. In a climactic battle, they were
able to bring the demon down, but at a terrible cost. They
were unable to stop the demon from unleashing three hundred
powerful demons from hell. And in a shocking turn of events,
Sam was killed in the fight.
Unable to go on without his brother, Dean made the ultimate
sacrifice. He summoned a deal-making Crossroads Demon to exchange
his soul for the life of his brother. The deal brought Sam
back to life-but left Dean with only a year to live.
Now, Sam and Dean face all-out demonic war. And as they work
to stem the rising tide of demonic activity, they continue
to travel the country, battling the supernatural wherever
they go: changelings, cursed objects, vampires, witches, malevolent
spirits, even a very unmerry Anti-Claus. Dean's clock is ticking,
with Hell awaiting him in less than a year's time. Meanwhile,
Sam still faces the fallout of the slain demon's plan to make
him leader of the gathering demonic army. Wrestling many new
questions about his destiny, Sam must uncover the dark secrets
buried within his own past and within his family's history.
And he must find a way to save his brother.
The
Beautiful Life
The
life of a high-fashion model appears glamorous and sexy, but
as every new model quickly learns, the beautiful façade
hides a world of insecurity and cut-throat competition. Two
teenage models who are about to discover this world for themselves
are Raina Mayer (Sara Paxton, "Last House on the Left"),
a stunning beauty with a secret past, and Chris Andrews (Benjamin
Hollingsworth, "The Line"), a strikingly handsome
Iowa farm boy.
Raina steals the spotlight from her friend Sonja Stone (Mischa
Barton, "The O.C.") when she makes an unforgettable
impression at a show introducing the new line from designer
Zac Posen (appearing in a cameo role). Sonja has been out
of the country for mysterious reasons and is now desperate
to reclaim her standing as the reigning supermodel. While
Raina and Sonja enjoy life on the top, Chris is starting at
the bottom of the fashion food chain, having just been discovered
by an agent at the Covet Modeling Agency, which is owned by
former supermodel Claudia Foster (Elle Macpherson, "Friends").
At his first photo shoot, Chris' inexperience almost ends
his career until Raina comes to his rescue, showing him how
to relax and work the camera. That afternoon, Raina brings
Chris to the "models' residence" where she lives
along with other young hopefuls, including Marissa Delfina
(Ashley Madekwe, "Secret Diary of a Call Girl"),
Isaac Taylor (Corbin Bleu, "High School Musical 2")
and the current alpha-male-model known as Cole Shepherd (Nico
Tortorella, "Twelve").
Chris is again impressed by Raina's generosity at an exculsive
party when she steps aside to make sure Sonja lands a job
that will resurrect her career. However, after an ugly scene
with an agent, Chris is left to question whether he can survive
in this world of dangerous excess and fleeting fame.
90210
An
edgy new spin off on the classic drama "Beverly Hills,
90210," the new "90210" looks at life through
the eyes of Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes, "Degrassi: The
Next Generation") and her brother Dixon (Tristan Wilds,
"The Wire"), whose first day at West Beverly Hills
High School makes them realize they are not in Kansas anymore.
The Wilson family, including dad Harry (Rob Estes, "Melrose
Place") and mom Debbie (Lori Loughlin, "Summerland"),
has relocated to Beverly Hills to keep an eye on Harry's mother
Tabitha (Jessica Walter, "Arrested Development"),
a feisty-but-faded former television star and a charter member
of the Betty Ford Clinic.
For Annie and Dixon, being the new kids is even harder because
their dad has taken a job as the high school principal. The
school is one big culture shock for Annie, a sweet and friendly
girl with a passion for the theater, and Dixon, a star athlete
and scholar who was adopted by the Wilson family after they
took him in as a foster child. Annie and Dixon have a close
sibling relationship, which will help them deal with all the
new cliques and classmates, including Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord,
"Nip/Tuck"), a hot, spoiled, rich girl; Ethan (Dustin
Milligan, "Runaway"), a popular jock whose abilities
rival Dixon's; Navid (Michael Steger, "The Winner"),
an aspiring journalist who heads up the school's daily newscast;
and Silver (Jessica Stroup, "Prom Night"), a rebel
who produces and stars in a YouTube-type video series.
Even the faculty are cool and sophisticated at WBHHS, such
as smart and funny teacher Ryan Matthews (Ryan Eggold, "Dirt")
and beautiful guidance counselor Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth,
the original "Beverly Hills, 90210"). Kelly's former
classmate, Donna Martin (Tori Spelling, the original "Beverly
Hills, 90210"), owns a local clothing boutique. The Wilson
family has just begun to realize how much their lives are
about to change.
