The Biggest Loser
NBC's hit series "The Biggest Loser" returns for season eight with a special theme of "second chances" and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels return to train 16 contestants eager to get their second chances at a new lease on life.

Their individual stories are compelling, from a firefighter (Allen Smith) whose health and job are at risk because of his weight to a military wife and mother of four (Tracey Yukich) who has always put others first. Viewers will also meet a remarkable woman (Abby Rike) who endured the worst tragedy imaginable - losing her husband and two children in a deadly car crash - and who now gets a second chance to restart her life.

Last season's heaviest contestant and fan favorite Daniel Wright will also return for a second chance to finish the weight loss journey he started in season seven, going from 454 lbs. to 312 lbs. He'll inspire a female social worker (Shay Sorrells) that has taken his place as the heaviest contestant in the history of "The Biggest Loser," weighing in at 476 lbs. Also included in the new season of players is Amanda Arlauskas, a 19-year old who was voted in by America during the season 7 finale of the show in May, and hopes to get a second chance to live the life she always dreamed of living. They'll all come together for a second chance to transform their bodies, their health and ultimately their lives.

The Office
From Deedle-Dee Productions, Reveille and Universal Media Studios comes the hilarious documentary-style look into the humorous and sometimes poignant foolishness that plagues the world of 9-to-5 in the half-hour comedy "The Office," based on the award-winning BBC hit. Since its premiere on NBC in March 2005, "The Office" has established itself as a genuine hit, earning prestigious television honors such as the 2006 Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, 2006 Peabody Award, 2006 and 2008 AFI Honor, Producers Guild Award, Writers Guild Award, SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy, Ace Eddie Award for editing and a Television Critic's Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy.

A fly-on-the-wall "docu-reality" parody about modern American office life, "The Office" delves into the lives of the workers at Dunder Mifflin paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Regional manager Michael Scott (Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Steve Carell, "Get Smart," "Little Miss Sunshine") is a single, middle-aged man who is the boastful tour guide for the documentary.

With unshaken enthusiasm, Michael believes he is the office funnyman, a fountain of business wisdom and his employees' cool friend. He has no clue that his employees tolerate his inappropriate behavior only because he signs their paychecks. Painstakingly trying to be liked and to look cool, Michael comes off alternately absurd and pathetic. His prize possession is his "World's Greatest Boss" mug -- which he had to buy for himself.

Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer, "Walk Hard," "Blades of Glory") is the reasonable and friendly office receptionist who bears the brunt of Michael's routines. The bright spots in Pam's day are her conversations with Jim Halpert (John Krasinski, "Leatherheads" "The Holiday"), a likable sales rep with a good sense of humor who should have found a better job years ago, but is too comfortable with his office mates and routine to leave.

Jim shares his working space with Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson, "The Rocker," "The Last Mimzy"), the arrogant assistant to the regional manager. Dwight is intensely irritating to normal people while Jim spends a lot of time finding new, interesting ways to drive Dwight crazy.
Ryan Howard (B.J. Novak, "Punk'd") is the young, smart, former temp, who quickly figured out the real office politics despite Michael's attempts to instill the official point-of-view.

Mercy

Creator/executive producer Liz Heldens (NBC's "Friday Night Lights"), executive producers Gretchen Berg & Aaron Harberts ("Pushing Daisies") and Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun bring you "Mercy," a new medical drama about the lives of the people who work at Mercy Hospital seen through the eyes of those who see it all-- its nurses.

Nurse Veronica Flanagan Callahan (Taylor Schilling "Dark Matter") has just returned to Mercy Hospital from a tour in Iraq and knows more about medicine than all of the residents combined. Together with fellow nurses Sonia Jimenez (Jaime Lee Kirchner, "Rescue Me"), who turns the heads of everyone in the hospital and Chloe Payne (Michelle Trachtenberg, "Gossip Girl"), a naïve newcomer who learns to deal with the difficulties of working in a challenging and sometimes unsettling profession, they navigate the daily traumas and social landmines of life and love both inside the hospital and out in the real world.

The cast also includes James Tupper ("Men in Trees") as Dr. Chris Sands, a new doctor at the hospital who complicates Veronica's life, Diego Klattenhoff ("Supernatural") as Mike Callahan, Veronica's estranged husband, Guillermo Diaz ("Weeds") as Nurse Angel Lopez and James Le Gros as Dr. Harris ("Ally McBeal").

America's Got Talent

The producers of American Idol bring you America's Got Talent once again this summer. Hot performers from all over the nation compete in this reality show. This season comedian Nick Cannon joins the show as host. The shows judges are David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan.

The show allows performers of all ages to come to the forefront of American culture.
