Glee Mall Tour and Interview

From Ryan Murphy, the creator of "Nip/Tuck"
and "Popular," comes "Glee", a one-hour
musical comedy that follows an optimistic high school
teacher as he tries to transform the Glee Club and inspire
a group of ragtag performers to make it to the biggest
competition of all: Nationals.
Will Schuester, a young optimistic teacher, has offered
to take on the Herculean task of restoring McKinley's
Glee Club to its former glory. Everyone around him thinks
he's nuts. He's out to prove them all wrong.
The cast of the new fall comedy "Glee"is
hitting the road this summer in search of "Gleeks"
at a mall near you! Cast members Cory Monteith, Lea
Michele, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz,
Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron and Mark Salling will make
appearances exclusively at Hot Topic stores in select
cities across the country to sign autographs, hold Q&A
sessions and give fans a sneak peek at the new season
of "Glee."
PCM's Alexa and Kristyn got the chance to attend the
King of Prussia event on their 10 stop mall tour. The
crowds were larger than anyone imagined as they patiently
waited for the cast to arrived. It appeared to be nothing
but blue "Gleek" shirts taking over the mall.
Some fans had been there since 6A.M. to get a prime
spot in the meet and greet line. The cast was genuinely
excited and interested in meeting their fans. Each cast
member we got a chance to speak with had wonderful things
to say about the fans, and seemed completely taken back
by the huge response that the show and tour have been
recieving. The Hot Topic store was a perfect place to
hold an event such as this one as they are truly a company
whose number one priorty is all about the music, and
Glee is all about the music, so it was certainly an
awesome pairing.
"Glee" premieres Wednesday, Sept.
9 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. A special extended director's
cut of the pilot will air Wednesday, Sept. 2 (8:58-10:00
PM ET/PT) with encore episodes airing for three Fridays
beginning Sept. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
