Beckham makes Galaxy
debut
August 2007 - David Beckham made his
debut with the Major League Soccer team the Los Angeles
Galaxy August 9. He entered the game in the second half
and played approximately 21 minutes in a 1-0 loss to D.C.
United.
Beckham joined the Galaxy last month but was
only able to participate in one exhibition game due to an
ankle injury.
"It felt a lot better tonight than it
has for a while," Beckham said. "It's difficult
after eight weeks doing hardly anything, but I was happy
to be back on the field tonight."
