John Mayer gives into the "hype"

February 2007 - It looks like John Mayer and Jessica Simpson are officially acknowledging their romance. In a new interview with Time Out New York Mayer denies that he ever denied the two being a couple saying: "I don’t think I’ve ever denied it. When did I deny it? I’m having the best time of my life, so if the names don’t make sense to people, that’s so small to me".

That's funny I thought he did deny it, even posting on his blog "Don't Believe the Hype", which seemed mysteriously connected to the rumors linking him to Simpson. I mean these two don't seem like they'd make a good couple, him being a legitimate artist and her posing as a wanna be Christina Aguilera minus the talent. But who are we to judge true love.
This statement comes after his candidness on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards in which he responded to Ryan Seacrest's inquisition about Simpson with a message in Japanese about how lovely she is and how is lucky to be with her.

It looks like Jess is being the shy one now, but I'm sure her next album will contain a crappy song about her love for Mayer, after all this relationship could spurn another few mintues of fame for her.
