Jason Wahler is engaged
Former "Laguna Beach" cast member and ex-boyfriend
of The Hills', Lauren Conrad, is engaged! Wahler's rep
confirmed that he popped the question to girlfriend, Katja
Decker-Sadowski. The two have been dating for about six
months before the proposal which happened this past weekend.
Very interesting. I wonder how long they will last? But
more importantly, we were curious to find out what LC
had to say about Wahler's engagement. She told Us, “I
am really happy for Jason and wish them all the happiness.”
Laguna's resident diva, Kristin,
is charging for her services
It's official, Kristin Cavalleri has officially
become delusional. According to the New York Post
she now wants to charge for her appearances.
Like Paris Hilton, she's charging club owners for personal
appearances that might produce publicity for their venues
in celebrity-obsessed weekly magazines.
She was clever enough to spark a bidding war between
Tao Las Vegas and Pure Las Vegas for the rights to
hold her 21st birthday event - and bids are already up
to $100,000. Cavallari has also mastered a method originated
by Jessica Simpson and her father, Joe. She has a friend
who fronts as a "personal photographer" and
gets the "big photos" of her making out with
pal Nick Zano. She then sells the images to the tabs,
who give her a percentage. The practice "infuriates
event organizers who pay her to attend their events because
they only get C-rate photos for their use," a spy
said. Cavallari's rep said, "We have some nice offers
from different venues to hold Kristin's birthday party,
and she has not yet chosen one . . . In this time of stalkerazzi
who invade her privacy, Kristin, like many other celebs,
has found a way to try to counter and control these uncomfortable
situations and work with photographers they know and trust."
News Flash Kristin, YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY A CELEBRITY. When
this girl actually appears in a decent movie or tv series,
I will maybe start to believe it. Laguna Beach does not
make legit celebs. At least L.C. is thinking of other
career options (like fashion design), Kristin get over
yourself.
More legal woes for ex-Laguna cast members
UPDATE:
Jessica Smith has just been released from an Orange County
jail, after being charged with two misdemeanor counts
of driving under the influence. Smith has spent almost
three full days behind bars, this must have been quite a
culture shock for a Laguna kid.
Sources say that because Smith wasn't charged with a felony,
her bail was reduced from $100,000 to $5,000. Although
her bail was reduced yesterday, Smith was apparently unable
to come up with the bail until today. Under the terms
of her release, Smith has been ordered not to drink alcohol
and to attend one AA meeting per week until her arraignment
on April 25.
Those kids from Laguna Beach just can't keep themselves
out of trouble. Just last month ex-Laguna hottie Jason
Wahler was arrested again for drunk driving and sentenced
to jail time stemming from an unrelated incident. Now another
Laguna kid is in hot water. Jessica Smith (Wahler's
ex and former BFF of Kristin Cavalleri) was arrested
Monday on suspicion of felony driving under the influence
of alcohol or drugs after allegedly causing a crash on
the Santa Ana Freeway that resulted in injuries.
Cops say Smith, 19, of Laguna Beach, was driving a Volkswagen
Beetle and slammed into the back of an Acura, causing "great
bodily injury" to people in both cars. The California
Highway Patrol report said that her level of intoxication,
unsafe speed and wet roadways were conditions that led to
the crash. The driver of the Acura, Roy Hernandez
of Lake Forest, sustained minor injuries. A passenger
in Jessica's car, Lindsay Cooper, 20, suffered
minor injuries.
Laguna Fashion 101
There isn't much to say about this tid-bit
yet but we just had to share. Our fav. MTV star Lauren
Conrad aka L.C. is coming out with her own fashion
line! Lauren has a great sense of style and has been
on the Teen Vogue payroll for some time now so we're sure
her clothes are going to be super cute. Let's just hope
L.C.'s drunkard ex-bf Jason Wahler doesn't try to
get back with her now, she's way too good for him.
THE LATEST: As if being
arrested weren't enough for one week, it looks like Jason
Wahler recieved some more bad news, he's going to jail.
Wahler pleaded no contest today to one count of battery,
and was sentenced to 60 days in Los Angeles County Jail.
Wahler, 20, and model Kristin DeLuca, 25, were arrested
in September 2006 after an altercation on Wilshire Blvd.
The two and a group of friends were driving on Wilshire
when their vehicle was blocked by a city vehicle and a tow
truck attempting to move an illegally parked car. The pair
jumped out of their car and got into a verbal altercation
with the city employee and the tow truck drivers. Wahler
punched one of the drivers and DeLuca kicked the tow operator
and spit in his face. The drivers called the cops after
restraining Wahler. His blood alcohol level at the time
of his arrest was .22 -- nearly three times the legal limit.
Wahler pleaded no contest to one count of battery,
and in addition to jail time, was ordered to attend 104
AA meetings, 36 hours of anger management classes,
and to stay away from all of the victims. DeLuca pleaded
no contest to one count of battery and was sentenced to
24 months of probation. She also must serve 15 days working
on the road with CalTrans.
Wahler and De Luca must also participate in a one-day
Museum of Tolerance program because of the numerous
racial slurs they uttered during the incident. Wahler
has until May 4 to turn himself in.

Laguna Beach's favorite bad boy Jason Wahler
is at it again. Wahler was arrested and booked this
weekend after cops say he "resisted a public officer"
during a raid on underage drinkers in North Carolina.
The 20-year-old lied about his age when he was approached
inside Rumors nightclub by members of the Alcohol
Law Enforcement Division. Wahler claimed he wasn't carrying
any ID that night.
Wahler was taken to Pitt County Jail early Saturday morning,
where sources claim he was anything but coopertive, shouting
multiple obscenities throughout the booking process. After
spending just a few hours behind bars, Wahler was released
on $1000 bail. Wahler is due to back in court in April.
This is not Jason's first, or second for that matter, run
in with the law. Wahler was arrested in Los Angeles for
misdemeanor battery after an altercation with a tow truck
driver in September. Three weeks earlier, Wahler was ordered
to complete five days of community service after he was
arrested in New York (after the MTV Video Music Awards)
for disorderly conduct. See what 15 minutes of fame does
