LiLo backs out of hosting
Vegas New Year's Party
Linday Lohan has backed out of hosting a
New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas according to US Weekly.
Lindsay is currently focusing “on her work and sobriety,”
her rep said. We think that's a smart move on Lindsay's
part to try to stay sober, why would you want to be surrounded
by drunk people on New Year's Eve?!
Lindsay dating a married
rehabber
The Daily Mirror has reported that Lindsay
Lohan is not letting her treatment at Cirque Lodge get in
the way of her love life. The recent story claims Lohan
is dating rocker Tony Allen, frontman of Dead Stays Alive.
The two supposedly hooked up after bonding over their entertainment
careers and addiction demons. The Daily Mirror even reports
the two had sex in a bathroom at Cirque Lodge.
A friend of British heiress Stephanie Allen, wife of the
rocker, says of her pal, "She's has had it, period.
They tried forever to have kids. She went through IVF three
times and suffered two miscarriages, and when they finally
got two beautiful babies, he hooks up in rehab with a girl
half his age. All Stephanie wanted was for him to be a good
husband and father."
Tony Allen has denied the reports and states he and Lohan
are merely "great friends" who "share a common
affliction." But the article claims Allen bragged to
friends about the hookup - while he was in a bar, natch.
Lohan in rehab in Utah
August 2007 - Despite conflicting reports
about Lindsay Lohan's whereabouts following her recent arrest,
reports now state she has entered Cirque Lodge drug and
alcohol treatment center in Sundance, Utah.
Cirque Lodge has treated numerous celebrities,
including Mary-Kate Olsen and David Hasselhoff. It was recently
named a top substance abuse treatment facility by Town and
Country magazine and acknowledged for providing consistently
outstanding levels of care.
The facility has two main facilities: the
Lodge and the Studio. Both provide plush accommodations,
consisting of either private or shared rooms with reading
and relaxation areas, large bathrooms with jetted tubs and
fireplaces or wood-burning stoves.
Admissions guidelines include a history and
medical exam and stress the importance of keeping an open
mind with regards to treatment. "We believe that recovery
involves spiritual healing and ask that all individuals
seeking addiction treatment at Cirque Lodge be open to exploring
this aspect of their lives," state the guidelines.
Party Girls in Pinstripes
You know something's wrong with the justice
system when Paris Hilton serves 23 days in jail for driving
on a suspended license, but Lindsay Lohan is only sentenced
to 1 day for DUI and drug charges.
Not to be outdone, though, is Nicole Richie, who was sentenced
to 90 hours for driving under the influence of drugs but
was in and out in 82 minutes. The pregnant celebutante checked
into a jail in Lynwood County, Calif. (the same place Hilton
served her time) at 3:15 Thursday afternoon, and she was
released by 4:37. In a statement, the sheriff's department
noted that those charged with 30 days or fewer for nonviolent
crimes are usually released in 12 hours due to overcrowding.
There was no explanation as to why Richie didn't even stay
that long.
A few hours before Richie's big house stopover, Lindsay
Lohan reached a plea deal for her 7 misdemeanor charges
stemming from her 2 driving incidents. Lohan will serve
1 day in jail, do 10 days of community service, complete
a drug treatment program, an 18-month alcohol education
program, pay a hefty fine and participate in a 3-day coroner
program where she'll visit a morgue and talk to victims
of drunk drivers.
Lohan has until January 18, 2008 to complete the terms
of her plea bargain, and if she violates her probation,
she could face up to a year in jail for each DUI and cocaine
charge, as well as 90 days for reckless driving. If she
receives another DUI, she will be required to serve 120
days in prison.
In a statement released by publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik,
Lohan said she was ashamed of her actions. "I broke
the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty
to the charges in my case."
She blamed her actions on her addictions, for which she
is being treated at Cirque Lodge in Utah - which will satisfy
her plea bargain's mandatory completion of a drug treatment
program. "It is clear to me that my life has become
completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol
and drugs," Lohan admitted in the statement.
"I very much want to be healthy and gain control of
my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing
so. I am taking these steps to improve my life," she
added. "Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle,
and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with
time it will become easier. I hope so."
There's no word yet on when she will serve her prison sentence,
but based on Nicole Richie's actual jail time, she'll probably
show up and leave in 20 minutes.
Lohan charged with
7 misdemeanors
Lindsay Lohan was charged with seven misdemeanors
on Thursday stemming from a pair of traffic incidents from
earlier in the summer.
She avoided felony charges of drug possession because tests
indicated less than the necessary .05 grams of cocaine to
warrant them.
Lohan was charged with two counts each of DUI, driving
with a blood-alcohol level above .08 percent and being under
the influence of cocaine, as well as one count of reckless
driving.
In California, one DUI can result in a maximum 6 month
prison stay and a $1,000 fine, and a second DUI could lead
to up to a year in jail. She faced up to three years if
she had been charged and convicted of drug possession.
It's hard to tell how much time, if any, Lohan will serve.
Paris Hilton recently spent 23 days in jail after driving
on a suspended license when on probation for an alcohol-related
reckless driving charge, whereas Nicole Richie was only
ordered to 4 days in prison for a DUI, to be completed by
the end of September.
But Lohan also faces lawsuits from the second accident,
in which she allegedly hijacked an occupied car in order
to follow her former assistant in a high-speed chase. A
passenger in the assistent's car sued for assault and negligence.
Will Lindsay Get off
Easy
According to TMZ.com, the Los Angeles County
District Attorney's office may not charge Lindsay for three
drug-related felonies in connection with her two recent
arrests for drunk driving.
Two unidentified law enforcement sources told the popular
website that Lohan will probably only be charged with two
misdemeanor DUIs. She will face a minimum of four days of
jail time if found guilty of both, whereas with the felony
convictions she would have served up to three years.
"A public discussion of potential charges prior to
a case being filed would be inappropriate and potentially
unethical," district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons
said in response to queries. She noted that the DA's office
has only received the first case, when Lohan crashed her
car and fled the scene to go to the hospital in Beverly
Hills this May. A "usable amount" of cocaine was
found in her car. The office is still reportedly awaiting
the case involving the Santa Monica drunken car chase that
occurred in July, resulting in charges of cocaine possession,
bringing a controlled substance into custody and driving
on a suspended license. She was arrested for DUIs in both
instances.
Lindsay bashes others
when intoxicated
People obviously do a lot of dumb things and
make comments they may not otherwise when they are drunk.
Well, Lindsay Lohan is no exception, and seeing as how she
is drunk more than the average person, I guess that means
she puts her foot in her mouth more than the average person,
as well.
A former "party pal" of Lohan told the National
Enquirer "When Lindsay Lohan gets really wasted, she
gets mean and arrogant and often backstabs her Hollywood
competition."
Lohan brags that she is the greatest actress in the world,
and she has made rude, inappropriate comments about a number
of Tinseltown stars, including:
- Scarlett Johansson - "ugly, fat, and has no talent"
- Jessica Simpson - "can’t sing and is as dumb as (bleep)"
- Sienna Miller - "no talent crackhead"
- Keira Knightley - "flat, shallow, cardboard cutout
of an actress"
- Jessica Biel - "phony, scheming joke of an actress"
But I guess those comments come as no surprise considering
the lewd remarks she wrote about Johansson on a bathroom
mirror in a club one time. Oh well, what else can you expect
from a egotistical, immature crackhead?... oops... that
must have been the alcohol talking.
Lohan quoted"
I'm a celebrity, I can't get in trouble!
Ah, how the mighty have fallen.
Days after Lindsay Lohan was arrested for her second DUI
in three months, more information is being leaked about
her strange behavior and narcissistic beliefs.
Three guys who went to a party in Malibu said they saw
Lohan drinking nonstop - despite the fact that she was wearing
an alcohol monitoring bracelet. Lohan's assistant then got
in a fight with her boyfriend and, upset, quit her job and
left.
All of a sudden Lohan hopped into the driver's seat of
Dante Nigro's Denali, where he was sitting with friends
Jakon Sutter and Ronnie Blake. The three men said they were
taken hostage after Nigro tried to grab the wheel and Lohan
responded, "If you touch me, I'll sue you."
Lohan hit the gas although Blake was trying to get out
of the car - Lohan ran over and injured his foot.
Nigro said Lohan was driving at speeds upward of 100 mph,
and at one point the teen queen boasted, "I can't get
in trouble. I'm a celebrity. I can do whatever the f---
I want."
Lohan drove to her assistant's mother's house, but the
mother called the police who apprehended her.
The three men said they have contacted attorneys and are
planning on filing civil complaints against Lohan. Nigro
said he feared for his life as Lohan ignored all traffic
signals and speed limits, and Blake called it "pretty
much the worst night of my whole summer."
Lohan-The latest trainwreck
This is Lohan's third stint in rehab. She
recently was released from Promises in Malibu, and at the
beginning of the year she was treated at Wonderland.
Lindsay Lohan has been arrested after a car
chase in which she was reportedly driving under the influence
and was in possession of "usable amounts of cocaine"
only weeks after being released from rehab.
Unfortunately for Lindsay her recent run ins with the law
are the only newsworthy stories acredited to her. Yes Lindsay
dawned the "Party Girl" title awhile ago, but
in the past her party girl image didn't completely overshadow
her work as an actress. Now while we sit back and watch
this train wreck occur, I can't help but wonder how she's
going to bounce back from all these incidents and how many
more celebrities will be gracing jail with their prescence
due to irresponsibility and addiciton. It seems like there
is some new competition going on in Hollywood- who can hit
the lowest point followed by- who can make the biggest comeback.
Watch the competitors(Lohan, Spears, and Hilton) battle
it out!
Lohan denounces DUI
in pre-DUI interview
August 2007 - A mere 36 hours
prior to crashing her car and being charged with DUI
on Memorial Day, Lindsay Lohan told Elle magazine
she would never drive drunk.
Lohan insisted that the paparazzi purposely
tries to catch her tripping or falling so they can claim,
"Oh, Lindsay's wasted and driving drunk."
"But I'm much more responsible than that.
I would not do that," Lohan added.
Three months after the interview - which will
appear in the September issue of Elle - Lohan is facing
two DUI charges, as well as other charges including felony
drug possession and misdemeanor hit and run.
Lindsay Lohan arrested
again
July 2007 - Less than two weeks
after her release from Promises for treatment for alcoholism,
Lindsay Lohan has received a DUI - her second in three months.
Lohan was reportedly arrested in Santa Monica,
CA early July 24th on suspicion of DUI and cocaine possession.
She was stopped near a police station as officers state
Lohan's assistant's mother reported Lohan was chasing her.
Although Lohan refused to take a sobriety
test when she was pulled over, she reportedly failed a test
at the station and had a blood alcohol level between .12
and .13, well over California's legal limit of .08.
While in jail, police found a small amount
of cocaine in Lohan's pocket. She
was booked on misdemeanor charges of DUI and driving with
a suspended license, as well as the felony charges of cocaine
possession and transport of a narcotic into a custodial
facility. She was released after posting $25,000 bond and
expected to return to court August 24.
This arrest comes only a week after Lohan
turned herself into Beverly Hills PD following her Memorial
Day crash that led to her 45-day stint in Promises. She
was then charged with DUI and misdemeanor hit-and-run, and
police had also found a usable amount of cocaine in her
car. She was released on $30,000 bail and her court date
was scheduled for August 24, as well. The maximum sentence
for each of those charges is 30 days in jail.
If convicted of both DUIs, Lohan faces 1 year
in prison. Driving with a
suspended license carries a maximum of a year jail time,
and cocaine possession has a maximum of three years. Lohan
had just completed her second rehab stint of the year at
Promises. She is reportedly back in rehab now, at an undisclosed
location.
Lindsay turns herself
in for Memorial Day accident
July 2007 - Not long after leaving
Promises for, Lindsay Lohan has turned herself in to police
to face charges stemming from a Memorial Day car accident.
Her attorney accompanied her to the Beverly Hills Police
Department, where she was fingerprinted and photographed.
Lohan crashed into a curb and shrubs on Sunset
Boulevard on May 26, then she left the scene of the accident
and was taken to a hospital in Century City for minor injuries.
Her blood alcohol level was over California's 0.08 legal
limit, and "a usable amount" of cocaine was found
both in her car and in her system.
She was charged with driving under the influence
and misdemeanor hit and run. Lohan was released on her own
recognizance after posting $30,000 bail, and a court date
was scheduled for August 24.
The crash prompted Lindsay to enter rehab
at Promises, where she spent 6 weeks in residential and
extended care treatment. It was her second rehab stint this
year.
Lindsay doesn't have
to fork it over
July 2007 - Lindsay Lohan was
saved from forking over $3,624.84 in damages for a 2005
car crash. Grandeur, Inc., the owner of a van LaLohan struck
in one of her numerous car accidents, sued her May 18th.
At the time, Lohan's rep said the paparazzi were chasing
her, but the L.A. County Sheriff's Department issued a statement
saying, "Preliminary investigations have revealed that
paparazzi were not a factor in the traffic collision..."
Representatives for Lohan's insurance company
arrived in court today to address the suit, but the van's
owner was a no-show - forcing the judge to dismiss the charges.
Wilmer tries to serenade
L.L. back into his life
April 2007 - Wilmer Valderrama
apparently still has a thing for Lindsay Lohan, I
know we can't believe it either. Wilmer showed up at Unik's
weekly karaoke party on Sunday night and dedicated
a song to Lindsay. A source told the New York Daily
News newspaper: 'He tried to talk to her, but she didn't
have much time for him. Then he grabbed a microphone and
said, 'Lindsay, this is for you.' ' Wilmer sang Matchbox
20's hit 'Back 2 Good', belting out: 'Just stand there,
I could say so much. But I don't go there because I don't
want to. I was thinking if you were lonely maybe we could
leave here and no one would know. I'm lonely now and I don't
know how to get it back to good.' Lindsay reportedly
shouted after the performance: 'It's too late!' The
source added: 'Wilmer tried to take it like a man. But he
left a few minutes later.'
Earlier in the evening Lindsay - who recently finished a
stint in rehab for alcoholism - sang 'Dirrty' by Christina
Aguilera, 'Criminal' by Fiona Apple and 'Like I Love You'
by Justin Timberlake.
If I were Lindsay I'd take him back in a heartbeat, he's
adorable and in my opinion way too good for her.
In other Lohan news, Lindsay reportedly purchased two dogs
that she thinks will help keep her in line. In an interview
with GQ magazine she is quoted as saying:"I bought
two puppies today. Sober impulse buying of companions
who will help me stay home." Great idea! (sarcasm implied)
Lindsay Lohan is stealing
my boyfriend
March 2007 - If this next rumor proves to be true,
I am NOT going to be happy! Ok so, Lindsay Lohan might
be dating JUDE LAW! What!! How is this possible. He
might be the most gorgeous man in the world and she is basically
a walking disaster. No fair.
These rumors started swirling when the two were spotted
together at The Box on both Friday and Saturday night
in NYC. A source was quoted as saying: "She called
Jude at 1 in the morning," said our spy, "and
met him at The Box." "They are adoring one another's
company," said one sly observer, who could not confirm
or deny any "dating."
Don't get me wrong, I like L.L., and she looks great with
the new blonde hair but she just doesn't deserve Jude. Argh!
I'm not jealous, I swear.
Lindsay Lohan practices
her skills of sobriety with Paris Hilton at her side
February 2007 - Lindsay Lohan has been spending
time lately at the Wonderland Treatment Facility undergoing
rehabilitation for an undisclosed addiction, but that hasn't
stopped the Hollywood party girl from spending afternoons
shopping and lunching with friends. LL is reportedly taking
her treatment very seriously but over the weekend she was
back to her old partying ways. Friday night she hit up Les
Deux with party pal and frenemy Paris Hilton and
Saturday she was spotted solo at Area nightclub in L.A.
Ms. Lohan's frequent outings from Wonderland have caused
some conflict with other patients of the center who think
LL is recieving special treatment. Lindsay's stay at Wonderland
is reportedly for 30 days meaning she has less than 2 weeks
left on vacation, er I mean rehab.
