------
NEW YORK, April 19, 2006 - Lewis Black has finally gone legit! How did
he do it - practice, practice, practice! Grammy nominated Black has recorded
a double CD of the newest stuff that's upsetting him. "Lewis Black:
The Carnegie Hall Performance" stand-up CD will be available in stores
nationwide and on comedycentral.com on Tuesday, April 25 via COMEDY CENTRAL
Records.
"Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance" stand-up CD was
recorded on September 24, 2005 at the famed Carnegie Hall in New York
City. The double CD features Black's rants on topics such as his mother,
religious practices, family traditions, adults' fascination with Halloween
- candy corn and costumes, airline travel, adult A.D.D., New Orleans,
President Bush and his mom Barbara Bush, cable news scrolls, gay marriage,
cursing and more.
Last year, COMEDY CENTRAL Records "Lewis Black: Luther Burbank Performing
Arts Center Blues" was nominated for a Grammy. This is Black's third
CD to be released on COMEDY CENTRAL Records.
As "America's Foremost Commentator on Everything," Black is
a weekly politically commentator on COMEDY CENTRAL's award-winning "The
Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and has starred in four top-rated comedy
specials for the network. In the past year, he has also released a hugely
popular book, toured all over the work and has been starring in more movies.
