The Quickie
James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge
Book Review:

James Patterson is back with a new suspense novel, this time bringing Michael Ledwidge along for the ride. While the format is typical Patterson, the plot is different. The murderer in The Quickie isn't a terrorist or a serial killer... it's the husband you thought you knew.

The Quickie follows NYPD's Lauren Stillwell, who seeks revenge after she sees her husband with another woman. Stillwell plans a quickie, but of course ends up with more than she bargained for.

Stillwell is thrown into a crazy roller-coaster ride of violence, while simultaneously working to save her marriage and her job.

The problem with The Quickie is that none of the characters are sympathetic, including Lauren. However, suspense fans will probably get past that as Patterson hooks them with a fast-paced plot involving lust, deceit and, of course, murder. And if readers don't find The Quickie to their liking, prolific Patterson will inevitably have a new book coming out soon - You've Been Warned will be in stores in September.
