► The British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles (BAFTA/LA) launches its inaugural BAFTA/LA British Comedy Festival Presented by British Airways from April 28 to May 1, 2008 in Los Angeles to honor the best of 2007's television and theatrical comedies produced in Britain. Winners will be announced at the BAFTA/LA British Comedy Awards Presented by British Airways on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. (More...)

Leatherheads- Oscar® winners George Clooney and Renée Zellweger match wits in Leatherheads, a quick-witted romantic comedy set against the backdrop of America's nascent pro-football league in 1925. Clooney plays Dodge Connolly, a charming, brash football hero who is determined to guide his team from bar brawls to packed stadiums. But after the players lose their sponsor and the entire league faces certain collapse, Dodge convinces a college football star to join his ragtag ranks. The captain hopes his latest move will help the struggling sport finally capture the country's attention.

Meet Bill- A doormat if ever there was one. A man reduced to a mere accessory to his family by working a dead end job at his father-in law's bank and arguing about his overindulgent love for chocolate with his wife Jess who is loathe to explain her "friendship" with the local news anchorman. But Bill's fate begins to change when he becomes mentor to a self-assured boy who engineers Bill's recovery with the help of a cute lingerie sales girl named Lucy.  ► My Blueberry Nights-A romantic road movie detailing the cross-country journey of a woman (Jones) who sets off across the United States in search of her true self. Starring Jude Law, Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz, and Norah Jones.

►  The Ruins - A group of friends whose leisurely Mexican holiday takes a turn for the worse when they, along with a fellow tourist embark on a remote archaeological dig in the jungle, where something evil lives among the ruins. Starring Laura Ramsey, Jonathan Tucker, Jena Malone, and Joe Anderson.

Sex and Death 101-  Upon receiving an e-mail containing the names of every woman he has ever slept with and every women he will ever sleep with, a man set to be married in just one week eschews his wedding plans in favor of seeking out the truth behind the perplexing message in a black comedy written and directed by Heathers screenwriter Daniel Waters. Starring Simon Baker and Winona Ryder.

► Anything can happen on Nim's Island, a magical place ruled by a young girl's imagination. It is an existence that mirrors that of her favorite literary character, Alex Rover - the world's greatest adventurer. But Alexandra, the author of the Rover books, leads a reclusive life in the big city. When Nim's father goes missing from their island, a twist of fate brings her together with Alexandra.  ► Chaos Theory is the story of an obsessively organized efficiency expert whose life unravels in unexpected ways when fate forces him to explore the serendipitous nature of love and forgiveness. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Emily Mortimer, Stuart Townsend, and Sarah Chalke.

 ►  Prom Night - Donna's senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life. After surviving a horrible tragedy, she has finally moved on and is enjoying her last year of high school. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe from the horrors of her past. But when the night turns deadly, there is only one person who could be responsible... a man she thought was gone forever. Now, Donna and her friends must find a way to escape the sadistic rampage of an obsessed killer, and survive a night "to die for."

Jack and Jill vs. the World- Jack is a NYC advertising exec with a life as glossy as the ads he spins. Jill is new to the city, with nothing to stand on but her fiery personality and romantic ideals. ► In The Visitor a college professor travels to New York to attend a conference and finds a young couple living in his apartment. Starring Richard Jenkins, Hiam Abbass, Haaz Sleiman, and Danai Jekesai Gurira.

Street Kings- Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him. Starring Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie, and Chris Evans.

► In Dark Matter, Liu Xing (Liu Ye) arrives at a big Western university with plans to study the origins of the universe. When the head of the department, Jacob Reiser (Aidan Quinn), welcomes Liu Xing into his select cosmology group, it seems that only hard work stands between him and a bright future in American science. At an orientation for foreigners sponsored by a local church, Joanna Silver (Meryl Streep), a wealthy patron of the university, notices the earnest student. An unspoken bond forms between them.

Kiss the Bride follows the impending nuptials of happy, heterosexual couple Ryan (James O'Shea) and Alex (Tori Spelling). Their happiness is disrupted by the arrival of Ryan's old high school friend, Matt (Philipp Karner), with whom Ryan had a fling in his teenage years. When Matt receives an invitation to Ryan's wedding he's surprised - especially by the fact that Ryan is marrying a woman. Matt interrupts his ideal life in San Francisco to return to his hometown. He plans to rescue his former love from whatever "she-devil" has trapped him into this huge mistake. Ryan's perky fiancé, Alex, on the other hand, takes quite the liking to Matt. As Matt tries to rekindle the old flame, Ryan is intent on putting out any sparks. Ryan dismisses their old romance as just a high school tryst, but Matt realizes Ryan may still be the love of his life. Pathology is a sexy, psychological thriller directed by award-winning director Marc Schoelermann, will be released. Shotgun Stories tracks a feud that erupts between two sets of half brothers following the death of their father. Set against the cotton fields and back roads of Southeast Arkansas, these brothers discover the lengths to which each will go to protect their family.
