► Palm Pictures is set to release Steven Sebring's Sundance Film Festival award-winning film Patti Smith: Dream of Life. The film is coming to select theaters in September 2008.

► Indian cinema legend Nana Patekar (SALAAM BOMBAY) and newcomers Venkatesh Chavan and Jhangir Badshah star in The Pool, a film about a young man trying to make a living in the wealthy hills of Panjim, Goa in India.

In Bangkok Dangerous the life of an anonymous assassin takes an unexpected turn when he travels to Thailand to complete a series of contract killings. Joe (Nicolas Cage), a remorseless hitman, is in Bangkok to execute four enemies of a ruthless crime boss named Surat. He hires Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm), a street punk and pickpocket, to run errands for him with the intention of covering his tracks by killing him at the end of the assignment.

In a case of mistaken ethnicity, a lovelorn fishmonger (Jay Jablonski) struggling to let go of a long past romance pretends to be Italian in order to date a beautiful woman (Cerina Vincent)-and finds himself learning to love again. A raucous romantic comedy, Everybody Wants to be Italian is written an directed by Jason Todd Ipson (Unrest , Peeping Tom) and stars Jay Jablonski (Unrest, Conspiracy), Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever, It Waits), John Kapelos (Stick It, The Breakfast Club), John Enos III ("The Young and the Restless," Phone Booth), Marisa Petroro (Reno 911!: Miami, "Deal or No Deal") and Richard Libertini (Awakenings). The film is produced by Jaime Burke and James Huntsman (Unrest).

The Accidental Husband centers on Emma (Uma Thurman) a successful but uptight relationship expert with a hit radio show and an upcoming book. She is serious and sensible about the issue of love and gives frank, 'on the nose' advice to women on how to find the right man without wasting time on the wrong ones in between. Emma believes she has met her own perfect match in Richard (Colin Firth) a successful and conservative publishing executive. (More...)

► After a plane crash, a young therapist, Claire (Anne Hathaway), is assigned by her mentor (Andre Braugher) to counsel the flight's five survivors in Passengers. When they share their recollections of the incident - which some say include an explosion that the airline claims never happened - Claire is intrigued by Eric (Patrick Wilson), the most secretive of the passengers. When the survivors begin to disappear mysteriously, one by one. Claire suspects that Eric may hold all the answers and becomes determined to uncover the truth.

► Towelhead (Official Site) is based on Alicia Erian's novel about ayoung Arab-American girl who struggles with her sexual obsession, a bigoted Army reservist and her strict father during the Gulf War. Staring Aaron Eckhart, Toni Collette, Maria Bello, and Eugene Jones.

► In Amusement, (Official Site) three women are stalked by a predator who has known his potential victims since childhood. Starring Katheryn Winnick, Laura Breckenridge, and Jessica Lucas.

Tyler Perry's The Family that Preys Together is a comedy-drama about two families who come from different worlds and learn to love and work together. Starring Jennifer Hudson, Kathy Bates, and Tyler Perry.

Nights in Rodanthe (Official Site) stars Diane Lane, Richard Gere, and James Franco, and is about two unhappy people's whose lives become entwined when they have a life changing romance. Adrienne is a woman who's trying to decide whether to stay in her unhappy marriage or not. Her life changes when Paul, a doctor who is traveling to reconcile with his estranged son, checks into an inn in a North Carolina beach town where she is staying.

The Duchess (Official Site) chronicles the life of 18th century aristocrat Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, who reviled for her extravagant political and personal lives. Starring Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, and Charlotte Rampling.

Burn After Reading is a dark spy-comedy from Academy Award winners Joel and Ethan Coen. An ousted CIA official's (Academy Award nominee John Malkovich) memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees intent on exploiting their find. Also starring George Clooney, Frances McDormand, Brad Pitt and Tilda Swinton.

Righteous Kill is about two Veteran New York City Detectives' hunt for a vigilante who may be one of their own. Starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, and 50 Cent.

Punisher: War Zone - Waging his one-man war on the world of organized crime, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished. Ghost Town stars Greg Kinnear and Ricky Gervais in a romantic comedy set in glorious Manhattan New York. Ricky plays a dentist that after a near death experience sees dead people. Greg's Character needs the dentist help from the afterlife in saving his ex-fiance from marrying the wrong man.

 Blindness, starringJulianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, and Danny Glover, is an adaptation of the Jose Saramago novel about an outbreak of blindness that sweeps an unidentified town. Ruffalo will play a doctor who loses his sight along with everyone else in town, except the doc's wife.

Nothing But The Truth - In Washington, DC a female news reporter faces a possible jail sentence for outing a CIA agent and refusing to reveal her source. Starring Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, and David Schwimmer.

Igor is a computer-animated comedy that brings a new twist to the classic monster genre. In a world filled with Mad Scientists and Evil Inventions, one talented evil scientist's hunch-backed lab assistant has big dreams of becoming a Mad Scientist himself and winning the annual Evil Science Fair. Featuring the voices of John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, and Jennifer Coolidge.

Lakeview Terrace - A young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives ultimately turn tragic when the couple decides to fight back.

My Best Friend's Girl- Tank faces the ultimate test of friendship when his best friend hires him to take his ex-girlfriend out on a lousy date in order to make her realize how great her former boyfriend is. Starring Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Alec Baldwin, and Jason Biggs.

Eagle Eye is a thriller starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie, and Billy Bob Thornton. Two unsuspecting Americans are separately drawn into a conspiracy by a mysterious woman they have never met, but who seems to know their every move. By the time they discover her frightening identity, they have become her unwitting accomplices in a diabolical assassination plot.

Starring Jamie Lee Curtis and the voice of Drew Barrymore and Salma Hayek, Beverly Hills Chihuahua is about a ritzy Beverly Hills chihuahua who, while on vacation in Mexico, finds herself lost and in need of assistance in order to get back home.
