| Yes: |
| Rolling
Stone recently raved that Steve Howe, Chris Squire
and Alan White of YES "sounded as majestic
as ever" during their performance just last month
at New York City's Hammersmith Ballroom, adding that
the band's stand-in vocalist Benoit David was able
to "expertly mimic the impossibly high-pitched
vocals of original singer Jon Anderson." Now,
that's some high praise. This may not be exactly the
traditional YES line-up, "but it's close enough,"
raved Rolling Stone.
YES concerts have always been very special
events, and this winter's "In the Present"
tour, which began in November and December, and
will resume February 5 and 6 for two shows in Mexico
City before hitting a total of 16 U.S. cities in
November and December, lives up to those expectations.
Band members Howe, Squire and White, along with
David and keyboardist Oliver Wakeman, son of YES'
Rick Wakeman, will play selections from hit albums
like Fragile, Close to the Edge, Tales from Topographic
Oceans and 90125 along with audience favorites like
"Roundabout," "Owner of a Lonely
Heart" and "I've Seen All Good People,"
some of the enduring classics that have made YES
one of the most influential and groundbreaking groups
in rock & roll.

House: |

Up and coming singer/songwriter GRIFFIN
HOUSE has announced a 6-week headlining
tour staring January 15 in Boulder, CO. House, who
released his sophomore album FLYING UPSIDE DOWN
earlier this year, appeared on "etown"
for the first time on November 24 alongside Sarah
McLachlan and is currently on a Christmas themed
tour as part of the acclaimed Nashville pop/rock
collective Ten out of Tenn.
Last week, House released a new video for "The
Guys That Says Goodbye," a track from Flying
Upside Down that gained noticeable attention during
his recent run of sellout U.S. tour dates. His live
performance of the song's rhythmic chorus and heartfelt
lyrics had audiences spontaneously and enthusiastically
singing along (and many ladies swooning!). "The
Guy That Says Goodbye" also caught the attention
of late night TV; House performed it on the Late
Late Show with Craig Ferguson a few months back.

Radio: |

Punk rock reggae trio STATE
RADIO have announced an early 2009 US tour
that kicks off on January 14 in Tucson, AZ and wraps
on February 21 in Providence, RI. The socio-politically
conscious band has been on the road since early
2008 supporting their sophomore studio album Year
Of The Crow (Ruff Shod/February 08), which Metro
NY described as "a biting collection of 13
tracks taking aim at, among other things, U.S. detention
facilities in Guantanamo Bay and policies in South
America, not to mention Halliburton and the current
state of affairs in Darfur."
State Radio will play their last show of the year
on December 26 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC,
and are calling it an early "welcome to the
neighborhood" party for President Elect Barack
Obama.

Winwood: |
| Rock
& Roll Hall of Famer
Steve Winwood, recently named one of Rolling
Stone magazine's "100 Greatest Singers of All
Time," will ring in the New Year with a series
of East Coast concert performances in January. Winwood's
upcoming East Coast concert dates mark the first U.S.
headline tour since 2007 for the legendary rock superstar,
who last toured the states with Tom Petty & the
Heartbreakers in the summer of 2008.
Winwood is currently enjoying the success of his
most recent album, Nine Lives, which entered the
Billboard 200 at #12 last May, bringing the artist
his highest chart debut, and best first week's sales,
of the SoundScan era. Eric Clapton, Winwood's former
bandmate in Blind Faith, rock's original "supergroup,"
lent his signature guitar work to "Dirty City,"
the album's first single, which held the #1 added
single spot for three weeks in a row and peaked
at the overall #2 spot on AAA Radio.

| Slightly
Stoopid: |
| Riding
the wave of success with "2AM," their hit
single currently on alt/rock radio charts across the
country, Slightly Stoopid will kick off their
Winter 2009 tour on February 5 in Tucson, Arizona.
Providing support on this 13-date, southern U.S. trek
will be the legendary bad boys of reggae music, Inner
Circle. In addition to this southern run, Slightly
Stoopid has been confirmed as one of the headliners
at the Langerado Festival to be held at Bicentenial
Park in Miami, Florida on March 6, 7 and 8.
Stoopid's exact play date will be announced shortly,
but the band will share the stage with artists such
as Death Cab for Cutie, Snoop Dogg, Cold War Kids
and Ryan Adams.
This first leg of Slightly Stoopid's 2009 tour
dates will be in support of Stoopid's most recent
CD, "Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast
Yet Stoopid," which was released last July
on the group's own newly formed label, Stoopid Records.
Several of the CD's songs - "No Cocaine,"
"Sensimilla," "Circle House Blues,"
"False Rhythms," and "The Fruits"
- were recorded in collaboration with the Inner
Circle guys at their Circle House Studios in Miami,
so fans should expect some serious on-stage jamming
over the course of these dates.

| Annuals: |
|
Annuals
just wrapped up an awesome, and hugely successful
tour with Minus the Bear, and we're super excited
to announce that new dates have been added to their
2009 headlining tour.
Support includes Jessica Lea Mayfield and friends
What Laura Says, who are signed to Annuals' label,
Terpsikhore. We're talking about two drum kits,
six members, loads of instruments and performances
packed with unmatchable energy. So if you haven't
seen Annuals live yet, here's your chance.
The new album, Such Fun, embraces a vast landscape
of musical richness, combining frontman Adam Baker's
accomplished songcraft with an instrumental palate
that is even more colorful than their debut album,
Be He Me. Add in cover art that's a painting by
Bob Ross and an amazing video for first song "Confessor"
by Terry Gilliam's right-hand man Daniel Auber,
and you've got yourself something pretty spectacular.

Femi Kuti:
|
|
Femi
Kuti has confirmed a U.S. tour that will
see the Afrobeat legend play venues from coast to
coast in January 2009 in support of his new album
Day by Day, his first studio recording in seven
years.
Femi’s album is the first release from the new Downtown
Records imprint Mercer Street Records. Femi launched
back onto the public stage this fall when he was
featured on emerging artist and label mate, Brett
Dennen’s hit, “Make You Crazy.”
Not content to merely follow in the footsteps of
his famous father, Fela Kuti, Femi continues to
expand his musical palette with his latest studio
release, Day By Day, a hybrid of Afro-pop, jazz
and urban influences. Femi is world renowned as
a gifted songwriter and performer who continues
to push the boundaries of Afrobeat rather than resting
on his legacy. He has toured America with alt-rock
band Jane’s Addiction, sang on Rachid Taha’s Made
In Medina album and reached out to the American
hip-hop community connecting with artists such as
Mos Def, D’Angelo, Nile Rodgers, Erykah Badu and
the Roots.

| Jimmy
Eat World: |
|
Jimmy Eat World will celebrate the 10th
anniversary of its classic Clarity by playing the
album in its entirety for 10 one-time-only shows
beginning February 23 in New York City and concluding
March 7 in the band's native Arizona.
Released in 1999 to virtually no fanfare, Clarity
gradually became the single most influential record
of a generation: A recent SPIN article polled members
of 17 bands ranging from Fall Out Boy to Yellowcard,
all of whom cited Jim Adkins' writing and performance
on the record as a primary influence, while ALTERNATIVE
PRESS noted "Clarity would later become one
of the most beloved emo albums of the '90s."
Ironically, it was Clarity's initial failure that
put Jimmy Eat World on the path to their eventual
success: Left to its own devices after being dropped
by Capitol, the band built up a base via relentless
touring which funded the recording of their 2001
breakthrough Bleed American, which went on to sell
1.5 million copies.
Reuben's Accomplice will support Feb. 23-Mar.
4. No Knife will support Mar. 5-7.
Pre-sale for the Clarity x 10 Tour will begin this
Thursday, Nov. 13. For details, see JimmyEatWorld.com.
General on sales begin Saturday Nov. 15, with the
exception of San Francisco, which goes on sale Sunday
Nov. 16, and Boston, which will go on sale at a
later date to be announced.
