She was recently selected for MtvU's Freshman 5 with the music video for "Boom" - a college and public radio favorite that hit #1 on the Billboard dance charts - and with her signing to the Hear Music imprint, her album will be available at all Starbucks nation-wide.

► Having already won 2009 Swedish Grammys for "Best Female Artist" and "Album of the Year", Anna Ternheim's album, Leaving on a mayday, is definitely an album to look forward to this summer. Produced by Bjorn Yttling (of Peter, Bjorn, and John), Ternheim has recorded a set of songs with a new self-confidence and rough authority that she hasn't displayed in the past. Instead of taking the safe road, she and Yttling approached the music without compromise: the songs are crystal clear, direct in their approach and refuse to hide behind any big arrangements or sonic tricks. The instrumentation is sparse, and the focus on Ternheim is total.Leaving on a mayday is out August 11 via Verve Forecast.
August 18th

Skillet will release a follow-up to their 2006 break-through project Comatose today. The Grammy-nominated rockers are rapidly approaching gold sales status and Awake is certainly one of the most anticipated releases for the band to date. The band, John Cooper (singer/bassist), Korey Cooper (keyboardist/vocalist), Ben Kasica (guitarist), and Jen Ledger (dummer/vocaist) teamed up with all-star producer Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, The All-American Rejects), to deliver an album that is sure to have plenty of anthems, smash singles, and concert sing-a-longs.
It's been three years since Matisyahu's Grammy-nominated, debut studio album Youth. Since then we've heard Live at Stubb's and Shattered. Now, Matisyahu returns with Light via Epic Records. Light is anything but safe. Produced by David Kahne (Paul McCartney, Sublime, the Strokes), the 14-track collection covers a dizzying amount of stylistic ground, from hard-edged dancehall ("Smash Lies") and ska-inflected New Wave ("We Will Walk") to laidback pop-rock ("So Hi So Lo") and acoustic folk-soul ("I Will Be Light"). While reggae is far from absent here-see the old-school toasting in "Motivate"-Light finds Matisyahu edging away from his comfort zone into more daring territory. "Being an artist is about being sensitive to how the world resonates inside you and then being able to express it," he says. "This process is an ever-changing one." "One Day" Video Here!

Mind Chaos is a journey that continues to unravel with each lush layer of inventive sound. From their debut single, "Too Fake" to "3 AM Spanish" Hockey schools their audience about the science of funky composition honoring the bands' spirited commitment to both the fluidity of rap and the angst of Combat Rock-influenced punk.

JET the Australian rockers will release their highly anticipated Shaka Rock on August 25 on their newly created Real Horrorshow Records through the Five Seven Music imprint with distribution and services through EMI Label Services in the US, UK and Canada and by EMI in the rest of the world under license. This global priority will feature a worldwide coordinated plan of converging marketing, touring, publicity promotion, sales, distribution and other support from EMI and Five Seven Music. This move reunites the band with EMI and key members of the team that originally broke them out of Australia in 2003. After four million albums sold worldwide and four Top Ten Modern Rock and Rock hits (including the #1 “Cold Hard Bitch”), the authentic Australian rockers have returned to form with an album that parallels their smash, Get Born, which produced hits like “Are Your Gonna Be My Girl” and “Cold Hard Bitch.” The new album closes the gap between the raw roots of Get Born and the grace and melody of Shine On which together went on to make JET an international band of style and substance. Shaka Rock captures the charisma and energy of classic rock and roll with just enough punk swagger and contemporary flair to create something uniquely JET. The single “She’s A Genius” goes to radio on June 22 and a viral video for the track “K.I.A.” is making its way around the internet.

The band has recently released a song for their fans - - K.I.A (Killed In Action) that is available on their website: www.jettheband.com. The band has also put quite the gory spin on a trip to the supermarket using the song...click here for the Supermarket Massacre video!
