Sheryl Crow said: The song "Love Is Free" is inspired
by New Orleans. What struck me about it is the stoicism
of the New Orleans people, they are spiritually based. You
can see it in their eyes that they aren’t going to give
up, they are going to rebuild.

► Seven
Mary Three ~ Seven Mary Three will release their sixth
album Day&Nightdriving on February 19, 2008.
Co~produced by Brian Paulson (Wilco, Son Volt, Beck) and the
band's Ross and guitarist Thomas Juliano, Day&Nightdriving
reflects a return to Seven Mary Three's pared down origins,
having recorded their first album in a basement while attending
the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. The album
is a highly personal, reflective, yet raw and uncompromisingly
honest work about reconciling a career in a rock group with
home life and balancing commitments to bandmates and those of
family.
Seven Mary Three are most widely known for their platinum
debut American Standard featuring the #1 Rock radio hit "Cumbersome,"
which still receives more than 500 spins per week. The group
has toured with the likes of Aerosmith, Matchbox Twenty and
Three Doors Down, creating a strong fan base that has loyally
supported them through the record company travails that saw
them move from their original independent label home of Mammoth
to Atlantic Records, settling now again with an independent,
Bellum Records.

►Ironically there are no textbooks
or classroom instructions that could help one balance
the equations of Kedar Massenburg's newest protégé,
Algebra. The
Atlanta native insists that one can only discover her
sonically. As an R&B solo artist with such a simple
solution, when mainstream success seems to be more about
the right hair, nails and make -up, ALGEBRA’S debut
album PURPOSE is the perfect curriculum for breathing
life back in to a genre overwrought by factory made
clones.
► Island Def Jam recording artist,
Ludo, is a band that you can't help but love.
They've got a fun, spunky sound that is incredibly catchy,
and will most likely get stuck in your head - but in
a good way. This St. Louis band is currently on tour
with Socratic for a few dates and Presidents of the
U.S.A. for the remainder of their tour. On top of all
this, they've got a new album called "You're Awful,
I Love You," which hits stores on Feb. 26th!
If you pre-order "You're
Awful, I Love You" here, you'll get an
autographed CD booklet by the band!
► The
Salvador Santana Band - The Salvador Santana
Band (SSB), featuring bandleader, vocalist, composer
& keyboardist Salvador Santana, is set to release
its debut full-length album SSB on February 26. The
musically and lyrically charged disc, for which Salvador
Santana also served as Album Producer, comes out on
the artist's VBE imprint with distribution through Tsunami
Label Group. From the bracing rhythms of the opening
track "Oh Yea Yeah" through "Why Yo,"
a politically-skewed dancehall track featuring Asdru
Sierra of Ozomatli on lead vocal and trumpet, SSB pulses
with a fresh, high-spirited sonic fusion of conscious
hip-hop, rock, funk, R&B and Latin sounds.
