► Mannheim
Steamroller to honor Veterans and share America's
favorite Christmas music with troops overseas. The band is
donating a Christmas CD to troops, Veterans & their families
for every purchase of Mannheim Steamroller’s new Christmas
CD. This includes any purchase retail purchase of the new
Christmas album at any store or online from now through November
25th!
The CD, which features guest vocalists Olivia Newton-John
and Johnny Mathis, Mannheim Steamroller: Christmas Song includes
12 holiday classics and new original compositions. The album,
already at platinum status, is the first new Mannheim Steamroller
Christmas studio release since the multi-platinum Christmas
Extraordinaire in 2001.

► Five for
Fighting will release their first ever live CD "Back
Country" today. The CD is also available as a DVD, as

► A
CD/DVD special edition of Paul
McCartney's Memory Almost Full wil be released.
► Rob Garza
will release the album Dust Galaxy in stores today.
► Blackmore's
Night - the duo of award-winning singer/songwriter
Candice Night and legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore -
will celebrate their 10th anniversary by releasing Paris Moon,
a long-form CD/DVD set shot on September 20th, 2006 in Paris.
► Barenaked
Ladies release Talk to the Hand: Live in Michigan,
their first ever live DVD today. The release is simultaneous
with a new CD with the same title. This release will also
be available as a CD/DVD combo. Recorded on June 15th of this
year, the concert highlights some of the band's biggest hits,
including "One Week" and "If I had $1,000,000."
► Angels
and Airwaves will release I-Empire today.
► Amazing
Journey: The Story of The Who and Amazing Journey:
Six Quick Ones are two exhilarating feature-length films
that will be released on DVD about The Who, one of the seminal

► The original motion picture soundtrack for the film
August Rush
hits stores today. The soundtrack features "Someday"
from John Legend, and "Moondance" from Chris Botti.

► Hear Music will release James
Taylor's One Man Band on Tuesday, November 13, 2007
at all Starbucks Company-operated locations and traditional
retailers in the U.S and Canada. One Man Band will be released
globally at traditional retail on November 26, 2007. One Man
Band, a new CD/DVD set, marks a return to an earlier, simpler
style of performance for the quintessential singer-songwriter.
The DVD, produced and directed by Don Mischer and executive
produced by Sydney Pollack , helps tell the stories behind
some of Taylor's most beloved hits through exclusive interviews,
rare multi-media footage, home movies and photographs from
Taylor’s personal archives. The result is an extraordinary,
one-of-a-kind portrait of an iconic American artist, his renowned
repertoire and the personal stories behind the songs.
► Queensrÿche pay tribute to some of their
favorite songs with an adventurous collection of covers that
range from Black Sabbath and The O'Jays to Italian opera and
Broadway musical. Singer and chief songwriter Geoff Tate,
guitarists Michael Wilton and Mike Stone, bassist Eddie Jackson,
and drummer Scott Rockenfield put their stamp on 11 classic
tracks with Take Cover.
► Rhino Entertainment is excited to announce
the release of Led Zeppelin's Mothership,
a two-CD comprehensive collection on November 13, 2007, as
well as the release of The Song Remains The Same on DVD and
the accompanying soundtrack, on November 20, 2007. Don't forget
Led Zeppelin will be reuniting for the first time in 20 years
on November 26, 2007 at the O2 Arena in London, England, in
honor or Ahmet Ertegun.

► It's a curious story but the #4 song on the Billboard
Hot 100 this week (issue date October 20) is actually a remix
of a song from a band whose debut album has not yet been released.
The remixed "Apologize," heard on Timbaland Presents
Shock Value, features the rock band OneRepublic,
whose debut album-Dreaming Out Loud-which includes the song's
original version, will be issued November 20th on Timbaland's
Mosley Music Group imprint via Interscope Records. Meanwhile,
"Apologize" already been on the Hot 100 chart for
10 weeks. "The toughest thing to do is write a hit song,"
says OneRepublic singer-songwriter Ryan Tedder. "But we
have a hit song before we have an album."
► Ayo
will release her debut album "Joyful" today. Also
starting in December, Ayo will appear in a PBS special on
over 300 affiliate stations.
► "The
Joshua Tree will prove a braver and better record
than anything else that's likely to appear in 1987" -

U2's The Joshua Tree has been meticulously remastered from
the original analog master tapes to mark 20 years since its
release.
► Keith
Sweat, the celebrated master of the slow jam, unwraps
his first-ever holiday music collection,
proving there’s no one better qualified to deliver a Yuletide
disc titled A Christmas Of Love.
The R&B and soul superstar's new album of newly recorded
contemporary Christmas songs will be available November 20th.
The album's nine songs spotlight the Harlem-born singer's
signature mix of smooth vocals coupled with warm, supple groove.
Sweat puts his unmistakable mark on the classic "The
Christmas Song," as well as "Under The Tree,"
"Once A Year" and "It's Christmas Again"-a
trio of songs Sweat cowrote. With "Point Of Christmas,"
the religious artist pays tribute to the "reason for
the season."
► After a 24-year sabbatical, Dr. Noah Drake
has returned to ABC daytime, and the music of Rick
Springfield is about to fill our speakers once again.
Sonic Past Music,
a new label dedicated to bringing fans previously unreleased
albums from their favorite classic artists, has just uncovered
Rick Springfield: The Early Sound City Sessions. The
CD will be available on November 20 and includes material that
set the stage for Springfield’s rise as a Pop star. |
