Three-time OC Music Awards winner BAYADERA are set to
release their sophomore CD "Rotation of Earth"
worldwide on Bitemark Records is a followup to their successful
release "90 Million Miles". BAYADERA is s melting
pot of musical styles, backgrounds, and experiences.
BAYADERA represent and reflect our diverse society today;
focusing on our common urge to seek a middle ground. Primarily
rock based, BAYADERA combines strong grooves ala old school
R&B with splashes of Latin flare and modern digital
nuances. Sultry singer Gina Bandy weaves heartfelt and
introspective lyrics though the band's musical landscape,
capturing the essence of the human experience with her
powerful yet delicate delivery. Full of hope, loss, love,
and a need for change this album embodies our current
state of affairs with engaging, foot-tapping music and
catchy hooks.
Along with vocalist Bandy, BAYADERA boasts top-notch
OC musicians Saatara (guitars), Dat Nguyen (guitars/background
vocals), Chris Payne (bass, background vocals), and Donn
Untiet (drums). Overcoming both cultural and physical
barriers (guitarist Dat Nguyen is blind), BAYADERA is
proving to have the talent and perseverance for a lasting
musical career. Receiving numerous awards and accolades
including placing among the Hot 100 Artists in Music Connection
magazine, Honorable Mention in the Billboard International
Song Contest, the Richmond Times Critics Choice Award,
and the National Head Start Latino Leadership Award has
fueled the frenzy so powerfully that all five of BAYADERA's
CD releases have sold out.
