Karmina - The Kiss

The Kiss EP:

Although Kelly and Kamille - the sisters behind Karmina - are only 23 and 21 respectively, they've already acquired a good deal of experience and expertise upon which to build a lasting career. One of the first acts signed to the newly inaugurated CBS Records, they have both the craft and the commitment to make music that's emotional, engaging and inspiring. As evidenced by the songs that will make up their forthcoming debut album -- to be preceded by a five-track EP named for their first single, "The Kiss" – Karmina's music possesses a soulful, seductive embrace that tugs at the emotions, without sacrificing the hooks, melodies and exuberant sense of fun found in the very best of pop music.

About Karmina:
Karmina is made up of two sisters, Kelly and Kamille Rudisill, who share an honest passion for music. Growing up in Kailua, Hawaii, the girls began singing together at a very young age, moving to San Francisco at ages 7 and 9 and studying classicaly at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for five years. With Kelly writing and playing on the keyboard, and Kamille writing and playing on the acoustic guitar, they have come up with a unique collaboration, writing both together and separately and creating a sound that has been described as alternative/pop/rock/indie/acoustic.....but you can decide for yourself. They have won numerous songwriting and vocal competitions, and both graduated with honors with music degrees from the University of Southern California. Now based out of Southern California, Karmina plays at many popular Los Angeles venues, such as the Viper Room, The House of Blues, The Derby, The Knitting Factory, The Mint, The Temple Bar, as well as opening for the band Savage Garden at the Fillmore in San Francisco, which was aired on the National TV Series 'Two Hour Tour'. Karmina is now working on writing and recording more than ever, having just been in the studio and having a song produced by Matt Scannell, lead singer and writer of the band Vertical Horizon. The girls just recently became Certified Protools Operators and are currently co-producing their next album with acclaimed producer Guy Erez. Don't miss Karmina on the Internet T.V. show Amplified, and keep an eye out for Karmina's upcoming album and local shows.
