About the Album:

From the moment the THE PINK SPIDERS first stormed onto the Nashville music scene in 2004, it was more than abundantly obvious that they weren't interested in taking prisoners - they were out for nothing short of complete and utter world domination. With the buzz generated by their indie label release Hot Pink, they set the stage for a major-label bidding war, ultimately landing at Geffen Records and delivering the highly praised album Teenage Graffiti.
Produced by hit-maker Ric Ocasek, Teenage Graffiti stood out from the pack with the hit "Little Razorblade," which exploded on MTV's Total Request Live and radio stations from coast to coast. The album, coupled with the band's no holds barred live show, garnered raves from such respected media outlets as Rolling Stone, Spin, Entertainment Weekly and USA Today, as being named one of the "100 Bands you need to know in 2006" by Alternative Press.
Now, with the Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen) produced Sweat It Out; Matt Friction (Songwriter, Singer and Guitarist) is poised to prove that the success of Teenage Graffiti was no fluke. After weathering set-backs, delays and disasters that would deter most anyone, THE PINK SPIDERS have persevered to make sure that their best work to date sees the light of day on their own terms, being co-released by Mean Buzz (Friction's own label), Adrenaline Music and UMG.
After a stint on the renowned Van's Warped Tour, preceded by their own headlining tour, THE PINK SPIDERS have been priming their fan base, who will be ready to get their fix when Sweat It Out hits stores.
The album's first single "Gimme Chemicals" - which screams 'summer teen anthem' - is set to be released in late July, followed thereafter by future hits "Seventeen Candles" (Performed earlier this year on the hit reality show Hell's Kitchen to over 11 million viewers) and "Busy Signals".
