Make Your Exit - Remind Me The Reasons I Came

Remind Me the Reasons I Came

Up and coming Toronto indie post-rock five-piece, Make Your Exit, will release their sophomore EP, Remind Me the Reason I Came, independently September 22nd, 2009. The much anticipated follow up to their debut eponymous release, showcases the band's most creative and forward thinking songwriting to date. Having stunned many a crowd with their enraging live sets, at festivals like North By Northeast and Canadian Music Week, the Toronto favourites will release the new EP with a CD release party at Sneaky Dee's in Toronto on September 25th.

Having shared stages with the top in Canadian talent, Dan Griffin (of the Arkells), Fox Jaws, The Framework, Amos The Transparent, Black Diamond Bay, it's now the band's time to break out of their hometown and make a home out of Canada. Compared to the likes of Midlake and Fleet Foxes, Make Your Exit have proved with every song they write and every stage they grace -those comparisons are very well deserved. The band will be gigging around Ontario/Quebec in the fall.

Make Your Exit Bio
You could try to describe the sound of the five eclectic musical backgrounds melding together to become what is Make Your Exit with fancy words and hyperbole... but the overbearing fact of their music is that it's simply honest. And honest music isn't always easy to come by. It's stripped down, yet amped up, it's noisy and abrasive, yet quiet and modest. It's the sounds of five extremely talented twenty somethings just letting it all out. Lucky for us, their post-rock release lands somewhere between familiar and completely unfamiliar. Four part vocal harmonies akin to Fleet Foxes, with the addition of jazzy saxophone parts, and just the right tasteful amount of Canadiana twang - Make Your Exit is unlike anything you've heard before, yet it won't be hard to wrap your head around. Remind Me the Reason I Came, is the band's second EP and showcases their unique unbridled songwriting energy in the best light. The album is mastered by Noah Mintz and was recorded by Brent Bodrug in an abandoned church somewhere outside of Trenton, Ontario. Paired with their face-melting live sets this release is sure to bring the band new followers across our great country. On stage the sounds of years of friendship can be heard not only in their cohesive orchestral blends, but seen in the way they enjoy performing together. Make Your Exit have played alongside Dan Griffin (Arkells), Fox Jaws, The Framework, Amos The Transparent, the Paint Movement, Michou and more, and have made memorable appearances at North by Northeast and Canadian Music Week. Expect to hear much more from these young and restless musicians.
