Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe 2

News:
Rob Zombie Switchs Labels Unexpectedly
Moves to Roadrunner Records' Loud & Proud To Release Hellbilly Deluxe 2 in Early 2010
In a sudden and unexpected move, multi-platinum hard rock artist Rob Zombie has inked a new worldwide deal with leading rock label Roadrunner Records through its Loud & Proud imprint.

This shocking announcement comes as Zombie exits his former label of eighteen years, where he sold fifteen million records as a solo artist and with his former band White Zombie. Zombie’s new album, Hellbilly Deluxe 2, previously set for release on 11/17 will now be released by Roadrunner / Loud & Proud Records in early 2010.

“It certainly wasn’t an easy decision to make after all this time, but it had to be done,” states Zombie. “I love this new record and wanted to surround myself with an excited new group of people who can reignite my enthusiasm for working within a hard rock record label. Roadrunner seems to be the perfect place.”

“Roadrunner is thrilled to be involved with Rob Zombie on a worldwide basis as he is a multiple-threat artist whom we’ve admired for many years,” said Roadrunner president Jonas Nachsin.

Tom Lipsky, founder and president of Loud & Proud echoed Nachsin’s sentiment, “Rob Zombie hits hard on Hellbilly Deluxe 2 and the fans expect nothing less. We are excited about the monster mayhem that he is certain to create!”

The first single from the new album, "What?" recently launched at all rock radio formats and is quickly climbing the charts. This latest album marks the follow-up to 1998’s triple platinum Hellbilly Deluxe.

A Little about Rob Zombie
Musician, Filmmaker

An auteur filmmaker and music artist with shrewd insight and creative vision, Rob Zombie challenges audiences as he stretches the boundaries of film, music and publishing.

Zombie's latest accomplishment is Dimension Film's second edition of the Halloween franchise: HALLOWEEN 2. The latest work of genius hit the theatres on Labor Day weekend of 2009. This is coming off the coat tails of Zombie's initial reinvention of John Carpenter's smash cult horror film HALLOWEEN. The move premiered number one at the box office breaking all Labor Day Weekend 2007 records, while grossing an estimated 31 million dollars.

HALLOWEEN 2 is Zombie's fifth written and directed feature. Prior to the success of HALLOWEEN, Zombie released the critically-acclaimed film THE DEVIL'S REJECTS (2005), the follow-up to his cult classic HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES (2004). Zombie's twisted, animated, R-rated feature film THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO was initially unleashed on the world on pay-per-view early September 09. With great praise of Zombies brain-child, THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO then hit the ground running as a special limited theatrical run and has currently turned into a new cult collector film on the recent release of the Blu-ray DVD version that came out September 22nd.

Zombie's HALLOWEEN earned him two nominations for Spike TV's Scream Awards in 2008 for Best Director and Best Remake. Zombie and his masterpiece took home Best Remake for this new cult classic.

Zombie has directed over twenty five hi-profile music videos having contributed recordings to soundtracks and is known for twisting the imagination and boundaries of both film and music. In 1995 Zombie won an MTV Music Video Award for "More Human Than Human," becoming the first self-directed artist to win such an award. Zombie has also directed numerous music videos for other artists besides himself, his band White Zombie, Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society and other distinguished artists including most recent Ozzy Osbourne.
