Ben
Jelen "Wreckage" video shows strong focus
on Global Warming
For those of you familiar with
Ben Jelen you are probably aware of his humanitarian
efforts which include work with The Natural
Resources Defense Counsel, extensive touring
for Rock The Vote and Live For Darfur, WasteNotMusic.com
and Amnesty International. On top of this Ben
has started a environmental foundation (The
Ben Jelen Foundation) that is raising money
to support environmental legislation, research
and aid to 3rd world countries that are the
most effected by global warming. Ben is currently
on tour in support of his album as well as to
raise money for his foundation (which already
has financial commitments from Altoids and Replay
Jeans). Ben's latest video "Wreckage"
(which was directed by Linda Perry) is actually
a metaphor for global warming (on top of being
a beautiful song). There are lot's of artists
and celebrities supporting Green Causes but
not everyone has the big name or the big budget
to make significant contributions. But in reality
every contribution no matter how small is significant,
and Ben is just doing what he can to make some
to help to inspire change.
