Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough "Rocks" Against Lupus

In August, 2008, Rock Your Religion's Co-Founder and Creative Director, Barbara Serbes, met with Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough backstage at his concert in Atlantic City.
Dorough and his wife Leigh have been long-time fans of Rock Your Religion accessories, even gifting Rock Your Religion's Chi Rho pendants to the bridesmaids at their wedding last year. It was Howie and Leigh's adoration of the Rock Your Religion Chi Rho symbols combined with their efforts to raise money for Lupus through the Dorough Lupus Foundation that "The Howie Pendant by Rock Your Religion" was born.

"The Howie Pendant by Rock Your Religion" is frequently worn on stage by Dorough while performing. By popular demand, "The Howie Pendant by Rock Your Religion" can now be purchased at all Backstreet Boys concerts.
Proceeds from "The Howie Pendant by Rock Your Religion" sales will be donated to the Dorough Lupus Foundation, established in memoriam of Howie’s sister, Caroline Dorough-Cochran, who lost her life to the devastating disease. The Dorough Lupus Foundation's objective is to be the most prominent and compassionate non-profit Lupus advocacy group around the world, aiding and supporting individuals and families affected by Lupus.
"It is our Foundation's goal to educate the public about Lupus," says Howie Dorough. "The message of the Rock Your Religion Chi Rho symbol truly supports our mission, and I know that sales will not only raise awareness, but also contribute to this cause which is so close to my heart."
The silver pendant symbolizes courage, strength, hope and love: the cornerstones of Rock Your Religion and the principles of the Dorough Lupus Foundation. The dual-sided pendant features Rock Your Religion's signature Chi Rho symbol, which represents the Greek phrase En Touto Nika, "In This Sign You Will Conquer" and Howie's popular signature, symbolizing his belief in this powerful phrase.
