Naommon

One name to remember is NAOMMON. This Underground Electro-Pop Artist has recently transplanted from Paris and landed in New York City. Naommon is ready to take New Yorkers and the rest of the country for one glittering, edgy, gritty ride with his new album "Allnighter." The debut recording from this mysterious and soulful performer forces the listener to move with its up-tempo beats and vocals that will make heads turn. This is a taste of Europe that the scene in NYC and the rest of the country needs. Naommon's video for his first single "Allnighter" debuts on LOGO's NewNowNext this Sunday, April 27th airing at 12 midnight EST, followed up heavy airplay on HBO ZONE. Stay tuned for more video placements and do not miss Naommon performing LIVE throughout the summer. Check dates at www.myspace.com/naommon or at www.naommon.com.

Details for upcoming New York Showcase:

Saturday, May 3rd 2008
Uncle Mike's Club
57 Murray Street (btw Church and West Broadway)
New York, NY
10:15pm
$10 Cover / ph: 212-791-9676

Naommon himself describes his new album as "Electro-purple-fluoro-plastic-sulky-acid-housey-soul-clashy-disco-sequin-pop."

A child of the Eighties, teen of the Nineties, clubber of the 2000s, Naommon embodies—both musically and physically—a myriad of continually morphing influences from the spaceglam of Bowie, androgyny of Prince and acidfunk of Deee-Lite, to London's creative NagNagNag parties and New York's popping Downtown scene. It was Naommon's appearance on the French talent TV show, "Popstars" (similar to MTV's "Making The Band"), that sparked collaborations with hot electro producers Christophe Dallaca and Stéphane Deschezeaux (Kiko & Gino), resulting in several hot singles on International Deejay Gigolo Records including "Good Sluts Factory" and "Jack The Box." Clubbing brought further introductions, bringing Naommon together with producers Julian Creance, Andy Garner, Human Body, Julien Lenoir, Dondolo, Danton Eeprom, and Copyshop, the latter four of whom produced the tracks on "Allnighter."

Queen of Electro-Soul Billie Rae Martin says of Naommon's debut album, "If it doesn't make you dance and sing at the same time, you've got no soul."

Planet Out says "...melodies that are pure pop. [Naommon] sings in a style that combines a diva's drama with a rock star's impressive snar."
