Angels and Airwaves are back with their new album,
I-Empire! The band, whose front man is a former Blink182
band mate, Tom DeLonge, had released their previous
album in May 2006. Chances are if you're a fan of
their last album, you'll be extremely satisfied with
the tone of this one as well. Their single, "Everything's
Magic," is upbeat and catchy. It stands out on
the album the way a first single should. Angels and
Airwaves have a distinctive sound, almost like you're
out in space. Real fans will understand what I mean!
A few of the songs are also instrumental which is
different for a rock band, but I like that. I picture
the guys of Angels and Airwaves just jamming in the
studio and not worrying about lyrics for those songs!
Most of the songs on the album are really creative
however, I will admit, they all start to sound the
same after awhile. This doesn't make the album horrible,
I'm just saying that after the fifth song, you get
the point.
