Shows We Love:

The Groomer Has It
Animal Planet enters the world of doggie style with the premiere of its new competition series, Groomer Has It. Hosted by Emmy award-winning actor and singer Jai Rodriguez ("Queer Eye for the Straight Guy"), Groomer Has It sniffs out 12 of America's most devoted dog groomers to compete against each other in a test of desire, creativity and affinity for animals as they shave, shear and shampoo their way through a series of challenges that will crown only one as "Groomer of the Year."

: Standing tall at on only one foot high, the meerkat is a small member of the mongoose family that thrives in one of the driest places on Earth - the Kalahari Desert. On the surface, the meerkats seem like adorable creatures, but do their cute façades mask their true colors?

Orangutan Island
: A hopeless fight for survival is brutal deep in the heart of Borneo's forests. Illegal logging is quickly destroying the Bornean orangutans' last stronghold in the wild - leaving hundreds of orangutan babies orphaned and homeless. Their future seems desolate but a ground-breaking project provides real hope for ensuring the survival of the species. Meet the 35 classmates of Forest School 103 at the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. These precocious red-haired "children of the forest" will get the opportunity, through this innovative project led by Lone Droscher-Nielsen and her team, to live wild on a secluded island. Orangutan Island is the foundation for the largest primate rescue project in the world.

After the Attack
tells stories of bravery as survivors of deadly animal attacks recount their tales. Host Dave Salmoni is a large predator specialist, who introduces viewers to the survivors of these unusual events as he guides them through the steps of their recovery.

In the series, Salmoni watches as every significant aspect of the attacks is recreated, trying to get a deeper understanding of what cause the animal to react the way it did and how the individuals got out alive.
By the end of each heart-pounding episode, Salmoni and the survivors find out if it is possible to continue on... After the Attack.
