The
Goode Family
With standards always changing, no matter how hard you try
to be good, it's virtually impossible these days...especially
for The Goode Family. Meet Gerald and Helen Goode,
a couple who live by the motto WWAGD (What Would Al Gore Do?).
Gerald, a college administrator, and Helen, a community activist,
are determined to obliterate their carbon footprint on the
planet: they're zealous vegans, drive a hybrid and recycle
everything possible.
Even the family dog, Che, is vegan. In the words of Helen,
all the Goodes want to do is buy organic apples and call minorities
by their right names. But despite their best efforts, something
always goes haywire with their politically correct plans.

Ralphie May Austin-Tatious DVD/CD Review by Khusbu Joshi
From politics, to race, to obesity Raphie May
covers it all in his new stand up Austin-Tatious. He doesn't
hold back in the least and isn't scared of any type of controversial
topics he brings up. The best part about his fearless comedy
is the fact that you can't help but love it. In his new DVD
you can hear how much the crowd enjoys his jokes no matter
how vulgar or obscene, Not only does he joke about other poeple
but he brings himself into the mix, voluntarily making fat
jokes at his expense. We've all heard the same old jokes about
celebrites, race , and sex , but Ralphie May is a breath of
fresh air, taking the general topics of comediens and giving
them new reasons to be comical. It's impossible you won't
be left laughing hysterically at his stand up show. If you're
into comedy Ralphie May is a must see.
You can watch the his stand up comedy on DVD
or on audio CD now. It's recomended you watch the DVD before
listening to the audio. Although the CD is great there are
some jokes that require a visual perspective to understand
and appreciate what's being said. There is also some more
content on the DVD that the CD does not include. With that
being said, listening to the CD will still be equally amusing,
leaving you happy and entertained, rather than mad and aggrevated
on your drive home from work!

Michael
and Michael Have Issues
Best
friends Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter have been
working together for 20 years and now they will finally have
their own TV show. The only problem is that they are their
own worst enemies.
Executive produced by Black, Showalter, Jim Biederman and
Lou Wallach, Michael and Michael Have Issues stars Black and
Showalter in a new twist on narrative and sketch comedies
that features the long-time comedic partners as the hosts
of their own fictitious sketch show. Sketches will be interspersed
throughout the narrative thread of each episode. Behind-the-scenes
of the show-within-a-show, viewers will get a first hand look
at issues, both big and small that the two misguided stars
wrestle with as they confront their own issues of insecurity
and jealousy as each attempts to undermine the other.
"Michael and I are thrilled to be on Comedy Central
doing we what we do best - making doo-doo jokes," said
Showalter. "I wanted to call the show "Michael Showalter
Sucks Starring Michael Ian Black,'" said Black.

Futurama
20th
Century Fox Television, the animation powerhouse that brought
Family Guy back from the dead five years ago, has done it again:
Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's brilliantly subversive animated
sci-fi comedy Futurama will return to production on 26 new half-hour
episodes. It has been more than six years since the series aired
its last original episode. The move comes on the heels of the
series' blockbuster performance on DVD and on Comedy Central.
Futurama was a staple of Fox's Sunday night animation block
from 1999 to 2003 before ceasing production on original episodes.
Comedy Central got rights to the 72 existing episodes in June
2006, and began airing in January 2008, and four recently-produced
extended length Futurama adventures: "Bender's Big Score,"
"The Beast with a Billion Backs," "Bender's
Game" and "Into the Wild Green Yonder," which
enjoyed enormous success both on Comedy Central and in DVD
release. This new deal marks the show's return to episodic
series production on original episodes. Futurama becomes only
the second series in the history of the medium to go back
into production based on the strength of its DVD sales and
repeat airings on cable.
The new episodes will be available in mid 2010 to be shown
on Comedy Central. Twentieth Century Fox Television retains
the option to license the original runs of the new episodes
to a broadcast network.
Futurama focuses on the life of Philip Fry (Billy West), a
25-year-old pizza delivery boy who accidentally freezes himself
on December 31, 1999 and wakes up 1,000 years later with a
fresh start at life and a "diverse" new group of
friends including Leela (Katey Sagal), a tough but lovely
one-eyed alien and Bender (John DiMaggio), a robot who possesses
human characteristics and flaws. The series aired for five
seasons on Fox (1999 to 2003) earning Emmy nominations each
season while winning three times, including "Outstanding
Animated Program" in 2002. It featured guest stars such
as Sarah Silverman, Hank Azaria, Bob Odenkirk, Pamela Anderson,
Beatrice Arthur, Lucy Liu, Beck and Coolio.

Review:
"A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All!"
(Warning: Spoilers Ahead)
by: Kristyn
Here is the way the story goes: Stephen Colbert
finds himself stuck in his cabin in the woods on Christmas
Eve, while trying to make it to New York to film his Christmas
Special with Elvis Costello. There is a menacing bear
outside that is preventing him from leaving, although
he manages to receive quite a few guest visitors through-out
the evening. Country music superstar Toby Keith makes
an appearance to sing about a "war on Christmas",
Willie Nelson causes Colbert to become so high that he
hallucinates that Nelson is one of the Wise Men in the
Nativity Scene, Jon Stewart drops in to teach him the
joys of Hanukkah, John Legend performs a song about being
in love with nutmeg, and Fiest appears as a "call-center
angel" sent to grant Colbert his Christmas wishes.
If you think all of these appearances seem like a jumbled
up mess then you are definitely on the right track. The
only two guest performances that I thought were truly
funny were Willie Nelson and John Legend, the rest just
seemed to be overly cheesy. Honestly, with a personality
like Stephen Colbert and his hit show "Colbert Nation",
I would have expected this special to be a lot funnier
that it actually was, I mean, I think I may have only
laughed out loud a total of three times. The whole musical
aspect got to be very tiring after awhile, and I would
have preferred to see some more substance from the special.
I am not sure if Colbert was going for a corny approach,
but he definitely succeeded, the special has its laughable
moments and perhaps Colbert was just taking some time
to goof around with friends, at least that is how it appears.
