Contrary to many reports, Charles Manson was actually in prison
at the time that 437 other people applied for a postion on
the upcoming Monkees television show on CBS, but Charlie's
song "Cease To Exist" was altered a bit by Beach
Boy Dennis Wilson and renamed "Never Learn Not to Love."
It was released as the B-side of the single for "'Bluebirds
Over the Mountain."
Charlie actually lived with them for time, and his "compensation"
for the song was trading off for the damage Charlie and his
friends (1.e. cult) caused to the Wilson house.
