Joe
Nichols shot the music video for his brand new single, "Gimmie
That Girl," at Cowboys in San Antonio, TX. Performing
before a packed house in the Texas honky tonk, Nichols delivered
an energetic performance for his first live concert video,
a single that cracked the Top 40 after only three weeks of
release. The video can be viewed at both gactv.com
and cmt.com.
"There's nothing like performing a song in front of an
audience," Nichols said. "The energy is something
that's hard to describe. I've wanted to do a live concert
music video for a while now, and when we were discussing treatments
for this new single, I knew the time was right. If you've
never been to one of my concerts, this music video gives you
a good idea of what it's like."
"Gimmie That Girl" is the second single from Nichols'
critically acclaimed and recently released CD Old Things
New. Publications including People Magazine,
the Washington Post, Billboard,
Country Weekly and USA Today
unanimously praise both the artist and this CD as one of the
best country albums of the year and Nichols one of country
music's most gifted vocalists. In fact, Billboard
called Nichols "country music's finest vocalist in at
least a generation."
"Gimmie That Girl" was directed by Peter Zavadil.
Mega Systems, Inc provided the ENIGMA NET LED lighting rig;
PRS provided DGT guitars and Stetson supplied the band's boots.
