I was completely impressed by this entire concert. I was
especially blown away by the rocking riffs and raw energy
of Creed's support band Like A Storm. This is a band that
seems to be poised for commercial success and appear to be
generating quite a bit of buzz. It is completely evident that
Like A Storm is out to put on a rock show, and they certainly
succeeded proving that rock is very much alive and kicking.
Starting out with lead singer Chris Brooks playing the didgeridoo,
they put on an amazing performance blasting through their
first single "Chemical Infatuation" and an awesome
cover of "Man In The Box" by Alice in Chains. I
just wish that their set could have been a bit longer, I want
to see more from this band and am eagerly anticipating the
release of their debut album. For a taste check out the video
for Like A Storm's "Chemical Infatuation"!
I can say with honesty that I was never the biggest fan of
Creed, but that was before I had the opportunity to see their
live show! The lighting and pyro-techincs were phenomenal
and lead singer Scott Stapp was in prime condition. Even though
at times Stapp seemed to be preening a bit too much, it was
still okay, and I can say " You still got it baby, rock
on"! The band put together an amazing set filled with
old favorites and threw in a couple new tracks for good measure.
I was glad to hear that the new tracks rock a little harder
than what I am used to hearing from Creed, and I will be certainly
looking forward to see what they have in store for the future.
