Paul Iacono Interview

PCM's Allison Ruppino got to speak with Paul Iacono, who plays RJ Berger on MTV's hilarous new show The Hard Times of RJ Berger. It was such a pleasure to speak with this up-and-coming star, he was charming, sweet and well-spoken. We talk to him about everything, from his role on the show, his Frank Sinatra impressions... and even vampires? Check it all out below!

BIOGRAPHY:

Talk about impressive... Iacono started his career at the age of four. Most of us at that age were following along to the musical tunes of Sesame Street while Iacono was brewing up his own. He would shock his audience with his Frank Sinatra impersonations at cabaret lounges, one, in particular, called Don't Tell Mama's.

When he reached double digits at the age of ten, he was appearing on stage with such greats as Mickey Rooney in, The Wizard Of Oz, John Davidson in, The Will Rodgers Follies and Stephanie Mills in Stephen Schwartz's, Children Of Eden, at the Paper Mill Playhouse.

An academic as well as a performer, Iacono graduated from Manhattan's Professional Performing Arts High School. And you can add writer to the list. He wrote his first play Prince/Elizabeth, which had it's premiere reading in New York City.

His film career includes a part in an '80s-styled slasher film, Return to Sleepaway Camp, a lead character in the the re-imagining of FAME, and a role in the independent film Glow Ropes: Rise and Fall of a Bar Mitzvah Emcee.
