About the Band:

New York City sensation TV/TV has been quite busy, and people are noticing! AOL Pop Eater's June 15th ABOUT TO POP features the band, which has been hard at work promoting their new EP Not Enough Red. The EP's catchy single Fire Island Freak Out has been turning heads and garnering much attention nationwide.

TV/TV has certainly come a long way from their early days in a small East Village apartment having now morphed into a modern day pop-punk-rock act. Their music has been featured on hit television shows like The Hills and The Real World, featured in the hit video game NHL '09, and bestowed the honor of "Best Music on Campus" by mtvU. In print, ABOUT TO POP is certainly not the first publication to take to TV/TV. Billboard and Alternative Press predicted the impeding explosion of TV/TV onto the music scene even before the band reached #1 AND #2 on the AOL Music Top 40 charts as well as #5 AND #6 on Billboard's AOL Music Total Monthly Streams chart this past April.

At Warped Tour in Camden, NJ, TV/TV took the stage before a small, but excited crowd. It was soon clear that this up and coming band sure knew how to put on a good show.

The band's energetic pop-rock sound was very stage friendly, and the young mostly female crowd enthusiastically jumped along to their fun catchy music. The guys of TV/TV were very comfortable on stage, strumming their guitars and bouncing to the beat of their music. The lead singer even showed off his guitar skills by continuing to play his guitar while he raised it into the air.

TV/TV proved that they are not just marketable, they are the real deal. It is shame that more people did not head to the Skull Candy Stage for TV/TV's performance. The band's short, but lively set was jam-packed with good music, skillful instrumentals and everything that a live show should include.

If you make it out to Warped Tour 2009, do not ignore the lesser known bands because newcomers TV/TV surely proved that they deserved their spot on Warped Tour 2009.
