Interview with Vistoso Bosses

(May 2009) - Vee.eye.es.tee.oh.es.oh have the whole world screaming out Vistoso! PCM's writer Julie spoke to the new power-pop duo Vistoso Bosses. Vistoso Bosses' sound is a fusion of 80's freestyle, Miami Bass, R&B, and British indie pop. The dynamic duo was first discovered on the internet. Their homemade videos for "Delirious" and "Boy Crazy" became instant favorites on YouTube and Myspace, causing Collipark Music to take notice of the girls' talents.

PCM chatted with 17-year-old Taylor Parker and Kelci Ferguson, 16, about growing up together in their hometown of Atlanta, GA, where the group still resides. Plus learn about the girls' favorite TV shows and fashion choices.

Their forthcoming debut album, 'Confetti', will drop before the end of 2009. Check out what the girls have been up to in their day-to-day lives! Visit the official Vistoso Bosses blog right here! Check out our Q&A interview and learn about the girls below:

Q: So how do you two know each other? What's the relationship here?

Taylor: "We're cousins! But we're more like sisters and we prefer to be called sisters."

Q: Where do you think you girls would be today without YouTube?

Kelci: "I think it would be difficult because people couldn't see us and our personality through Internet videos. We capture fan attention because we're really down to earth."

Taylor: "When we're doing all that styff on camera, we really act like that. That's just us. It's hard for us to answer that, we're just being ourselves. People see us and then meet us and they say, "Wow, you really are that way in real life!"

Q: You two certainly have a teen fan base and have claimed that you want to be role models for young kids. A lot of young teen stars are in the tabloids all the time now that have claimed the same thing. What can we expect from you girls?

Taylor: "I think that when we say we want to be role models, we want to be role models the way we are. We know we're being watched so we have a reason for everything we do. I can't look into the future but we're always going to try to be true to ourselves. We haven't experienced tabloids yet. We want girls to be themselves and who exactly they are. A lot of girls haven't found themselves yet and we have."

Q: How important is fashion to your image?

Kelci: "Fashion is really important to our image. We have our own style and want to show our fans that you can be creative through your clothes and you can be yourself. You don't have to hide."

Q: If you two weren't pursuing music, do you think you'd want to go to college? What are you doing about schooling and what would you think you'd want to major in?

Taylor: "I think we were destined to do music and to entertain. I don't know if we could see ourselves doing anything else but that! There's nothing more, I couldn't see us working a traditional job."

Kelci: "We want to do music more but we do want to college too. We definitely want to have a Plan B, we like other things do. Fashion. Acting. We'd love to do music and other things."

Q: We are also a celebrity gossip site here at PCM, can you two tell us who your celebrity crushes are if you have one?

Kelci: "Zac Efron!"

Taylor: "Drake Bell."

(both giggles!)
